Mexican trucks will soon be crossing the border and driving in all 48 states without having to comply with the US DOT regluations. Sec of Transportation Ray LaHood is backing the move. La Hood was appointed by Obama. Just how much more of the membres dues money and DRIVE money is going to be poured down the political cess pool? Democrats have killed the emploeyee free chioce act, caved to republican demands that auto union wages and benefits be bruoght down to the non union level before granting bailout money, will cave to the republicans bill that will make orgainizing harder in the airline indutry, and now are going to allow mexican trucks to run all 48 states without compling with DOT claiming that NAFTA does not allow DOT enofrecement. How long will Hoffa let his political depratment and so-called lobbyists keep funding this type of crap?

Hoffa has never had the guts to show up in pesron and debate any challegner in any past electoin. He had Chuck Mack fill in for him before and now that Mack is gone who will he pick to be his mouthpeice? If he is the best candiadate for the job then why can't he speak for himself?

conventoin is over and the dirty politics begin. Looks like the Hoffa vice president candidate Tyson Johnson is making a move to elinimate Gregare candidatre Zuckerman as head of the national carhual division. Johnson is trying to elinimate the carhaul division by incoporating the carhaul division into his national freight divsion. Want to bet he has Hoffa and Halls blessing on this? Then Hoffa candidate Alosie is in the middle of a local 601 contrversy that should bring a rerun order of the Lucio Reyes electoion because of excessive external meddling in the last local electoin. Reyes will get another shot at his electoin because too many outsiders got invloved in his last one. Reyes was going to be a candidate on Gregares slate. Maybe Reyes should file electoin officer charges that he was denied eligbility and a slate position because of the excessive meddling in his local election.

Just finished packing for Los Vegas. I can not wait to here how Hoffa and Hall will explian the loss of 25 & out and 30 & out from the central states pensoin. Maybe they can tell the membrers losing their early retirment benfitis how they managaed to ensure that UPS & UPS frieght kept theres and everybody else is just screwed when there next contact comes up. Maybe Hoffa and Hall will explian the 75% cut in pension contribiutions at YRC too. I just can not wait to get to Los Vegas.

this electoin is far from a slam dunk for Hoffa and lets make a UPS deal Ken Hall. The 14,000 member universtiy of California local has endorsed Sandy. How could Todd and Christy have missed this one? Maybe Hoffa and Hall will tell Farmer to get Jack and Manny back to chassing school busses. 14,000 member public sector locals agaisnt Hoffa. got to love it.
