In Topic: Hoffa campaign concedes Central and South
September 03 2011 - 03:25 PM
When Hoffa looses the central he looses the electoin. West is done by accliamnation and can not get any intrest going for election and can not even get a decent fundrasier going. East can not produce enough votes to make up for west low turn out and lossof the central. The south has never had a good turn out. Thompson and Bailey should be dusting off there resumees.

Seems like every Teamster that ever approaches the subject tends to forget what a bad deal it is for the part-timers in who's name contributions are handed over to the multi-employer funds. Damn few will see even a penny of those contributions returned....whereas, if they could be placed in some sort of 401K plan, they could follow the P/T'er as he follows his career chain.
Granted, I realize why Teamsters appreciate - and want - contributions being made in the names of P/T'ers, in that it represents yet another form of welfare; those who DIDN'T earn it receive benefit of the contributions of those who DID earn it...but will never receive it.
May be legal. May be in the contract. But the way the way the Teamsters treat their P/T members in that regard is pretty reprehensible.

go out west and talk to some of the 20 plus yaer part timers that have a secure penison. The bad deal for the part timers is how UPS traets them and abuses them. Hall was the one that gave away part timers pensions contributions in the air agreemnent. Hall is the one that turns a blind eye to the 22.3 issue. Agreed the union has to do more for the part timers and Hoffa and Hall are not and will not do that. When has Hoffa or Hall negotaited a increase in the part time starting wage? What is really sad is that the federal miminum wage will soon catch the UPS starting wage for part timers and that is a disgrace that is layed at the feet of Hoffa and Hall. Hoffa has had over 13 years and Hall even longer to correct this but they haev not done it.

Shut the fuck up douche-bag. You havent told the truth once since you started posting here. You new name is now "Lying Dog".
true storey. Hoffa flew from DC to Detroit and back several times during the Northwest mechanics strike. Hoffa refused to let the internatioanl sanction aand honor the mechanics strike. Hoffa even had the travel department continue to book Northwest flights for internatioanl staff during the strike. Now Hoffa flys around the country with Netjets. They are a leasing company that furnishes lear jets for their customers. Like I said once a scab always a scab. Check out the LM2s and dig deep the informaton is in there.

[b][font="Times New Roman"][size="4"]Coming from a Hoffa/Mack/Aloise/Frates hating jagoff like you, that's a very nice compliment.
That lady who is a scab, and crosses picket lines.
That you would support a scab over Teamsters, tells me all I need to know!

then how can you supporyt Hoffa? He crossed the Northwest AIrlines mechanics picket line several times during there strike. He even had the IBT travel departmnet continue booking Northwest flights for the internatioanl staff during that strike. Once a scab always a scab right?

Could you provide some responsible documentation and/or links in regard to your statements of....
"Mexican trucks will soon be crossing the border and driving in all 48 states without having to comply with the US DOT regluations" [sic]
....and....
"....with DOT claiming that NAFTA does not allow DOT enofrecement." [sic]
????
It would be nice to have such references in order to refute the claims of those (and, apparently, there are many) who are saying that the Mexican drivers in question WOULD be subject to DOT rules
Thanks in advance.....

just google "cross border trucking" - many of the artilces say the mexican truckers will have to meet saftey standards but I point out that none of them say the US DOT safety standards applied to US drivers will be applided to mexican drivers. Ready for a double breasted safety program now? Obama signed it and refused comment by sending reporters to LaHood at the Transporatation Dept. One article said Hoffa was angry and even sent an e-mail out about it! Now that is a terrafic response send an e-mail.
Back to the question of how long will the membres money and DRIVE money be given to politicains that stab labor in the back? How much money will Obama get next year from those "pass through" drive contributitions that are reported as individaul contributions?
