Without coming right out in disagreement, I'm curious as to just what specific ways the "goverment [sic] and the corruption that lies with in that goverment" that led to the state the Teamsters Union is in today you could enumerate.

Thanks in advance....

I guess I would have to answer your question with a question why do think workers want Unions ? If the goverment protected workers from bad employers there would be no need for Unions ,but we both know that most goverment agencys that are suppose to protect workers do little or nothing and that is why Unions exist.

Oh, mine's been alright. Obviously, it's been quite a bit better than yours. Sorry if your (note usage) big mouth got you into trouble. Maybe with a little more "experience", you'll learn to keep it shut until you have some idea of what you're (note usage again) talking about.

You're far from the first Teamster who's busted his butt trying to push the boulder of Persistent Ignorance up the slope of Economic Reality here on T-Net, and I seriously doubt that you'll be the last. There's a reason for the state of the union today....and individuals such as yourself need only to look in the mirror to discover what it is.

The state of our Union today and granted it is bad can!t be laid at the feet of unions but goverment and the corruption that lies with in that goverment.

“The workers were able to overcome the company’s persistent anti-union push through a combination of efforts by the local union and the organizing department of Teamsters Joint Council 25,” said Roger ######, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 673.

The employees—98 percent of whom are Hispanic—represent a broad range of laborers at one of the largest precast manufacturers in the tri-state area, including blasters, yard patchers, forklift operators, steel shaft welders and woodshop employees.

“The workers are in need of a fair wage for their labor and the right to a grievance procedure to address working conditions,” ###### said. “The workers know the Teamsters will secure a better standard of living for them and their families at the bargaining table.”

Now, more than a year later the reform slate leaves the workers on their own after voting down the companies last offer. These workers took a 20% pay cut and the best reform could negotiate was a 5% raise over 5 years.

No your not...Your just like your idol, all hat and no cattle...And there is a BUNCH of us that don't subscribe to your anti TDU rants....I kinda like em...Nice to see both sides..You know ..the whole "checks and balances thing"...Or maybe you can't get your lips off Fat Boy's ass long enough to see that...Probably not.

The members are the only checks and balances this union needs which is more than TDU has they won!t even say where they get their money from.
