I think the members who respected Steve should show support by voting for him, with that said the top 5 vote getters whom are alive will win. Hoffa has 4 so Gregare will get one for sure.

Getting just enough Delegate votes at the Convention is a long way from winning the election. TDU Tom got enough in 2001 and 2006 and wasn't even close to winning.

Now I'm just a truck driver and I realize there are lots of people out there who are smarter than I am, but how is it there are delegates (not that many) and candidates for delegates who have "committed" to Sandy when they don't know who or what they've committed to? While TDU Tom wasn't able to put together enough "supporters" to run with him as a full Slate, at least he had most of the holes filled.

So pretend Sandy is a credible candidate. For those on this message board who are her biggest supporters, who are her GEB running mates? At least Fred has a few folks running with him. How can anyone take the position Sandy is the best hope for the future of the IBT if you don't know who's on her ticket.
Are we to assume she will surprise us all with a list of 20 or so experienced Teamsters who are running with her but are so proud of it they are keeping it a secret until a week or a few days before the Convention? Or even better yet on the Convention floor.
Who will Sandy have negotiate the next National Master UPS Agreement?
Who will Sandy have negotiate the next National Master Freight Agreement?
I'd love to know who I will call my General Secretary-Treasurer, Western Region Vice Presidents, At-Large Vice-Presidents, and Trustees with Sandy at the wheel of the IBT.
