On May 1, 1886,the American Federation of Labor, declared a national strike to demand an eight-hour-work day, and 350,000 workers across the USA responded. Chicago in particular was paralyed. Over the next several days, police shot many workers, killing some and wounding many more. Later, eight workers were sentenced to death! -

On the bright side, Alex Sink, wins the Democratic, nomination! With over 77% of voting Democrats.
