Now let's see, DRIVE is Democratic Republican Independent Voter Education. But the Teamsters, and all Unions basically has taking the position to put all there eggs in the Democrat basket while pissing on the independent and republican basket's. Now if we are to survive we might wanna consider trying to win friends in the other parties and lobby them. Unions and CBA's are a good thing for this country and especially the middle class. If politicians really care about improving the economy then they would support Union's. We are not out to bankrupt a company or make it hard for them to compete. The Teamsters can use UPS as an example. We have livable wages, good insurance/retirement and work rules. Now we will never get the other parties to support us if we continue praising Dem;s while waging war against the others. And at the rate Obama and company are going, the Dem's will loose big time in 2012. And they are not going to do anything but give us lip service since they know we are in there corner regardless. Or numbers are shrinking so we better change direction pertaining to politics before it's get's to the point we have no voice.
But of course, that's just my opinion and I'm sure many on here will disagree.

Now we need laws that protect the Union and make it possible to organize with out going broke.
Now the Union and a contract is the solution to a stronger middle class, not bigger government. I would rather have my insurance than to be forced into a gov plan. Just look at how they mismanage everything and steal from it. And look at our deficit because they do not know how to budget and have no intentions too. We cannot sustain and we will be own and controlled by China in a matter of years.

Now my family loved going to the Thrashers game. The game is awesome to watch in person, the atmosphere was great, every seat was a good seat, an unbelievable view and there were some really jacked up fans who made it enjoyable.
But the crappy owners had to sell them off to another country! Taking our beloved Thrashers away, just like the flames. Now why did these jokers buy them in the first place if they were gonna try and sell them as soon as they got them? Now every time we went there was a pretty good crowd. The weekends they was barely a seat left. They had to of been making money. And in all honesty, they hadn't been here that long and we hadn't had in real succesful seasons but I would say the attendance was pretty goon considering. And If we would've put togeather a couple of really good seasons over the next couple years I'm sure the crowds would've really taken off then. But we will never know. We no longer have a hockey team in the big A.
It's just sad! Very, very sad! So long Thrashers, I know my family will miss you!

I'm curious of how fellow UPSers would rate working for UPS. Not just pay and beni's. But treatment. Consider things like ability to do your job with out harassment, equal treatment, weather your management team holds themselves to the same standard they hold hourly, etc,,,
