BTW..you really think turning the Government into a "private equity" concern is going to protect your freedoms?

1) My private investments and retirement, (as well as that of many others Union or not) WOULD have been far more substantial had it not been for the debacle beginning with ENRON and all the way up until the September '08 crash.

2) Foreigners do hire people they bring their relatives over here in many cases to fill these jobs.....or, as the case with our local IHop they get by with paying waitresses $2.13 an with no benefits. You got any idea how much the rest of us are paying in the way of food stamps and rent subsides for 1 waitress with 1 child? BTW..check into obtaining a franchise without a foreign Visa...that's usually the first step in getting one.

3) Bain capital wouldn't have nearly as much money to "wheel and deal" if it were still illegal for companies to bankrupt themselves..

American corporations did not "flee" America they DESERTED America the first chance they got! Their desertion has caused wages to bottom out has taken hundreds of billions of dollars out of Social Security, Medicare and State tax bases. But, we AMERICANS are now being sold on the idea that the real problem is taxes...taxes that pay for things like Social Security and Medicare so we can give even more to the DESERTERS! BTW...when companies first started moving overseas the excuse was that the employees "might become Unionized"...now the excuse is "taxes".

Since retirement I've traveled all over this country, and I can tell you there is hardly a franchise/small business anywhere in this country that has not been taken over by foreigners. Everything from the Dunkin Doughnuts, gas stations and hotels. Nearly any job that can't be shipped overseas is being taken over by the "small business owner"...and these days chances are he ain't from America! But, if anybody points this out they are accused of being, racists, anti capitalists, or just hating the rich.

Also, we have at least 1 million legal immigrants entering the country each year...with built in tax bakes and access to small business loans that is denied most AMERICA citizens...

COME ON!...Excuses is all we get to explain the reasons for the gas prices going wild nearly every spring...with the end result the same..the oil companies pocket a ton of profits off the inflated prices. They make more than enough profit to "explore" for more oil.

We've been fighting this "oil" war for over 30 years now...mostly because we've given the oil companies more than enough time and money to launch anti alternative energy campaigns to turn people off the idea that we will ever be energy independent.

And NO I am not for allowing the oil companies to drill on Fereral land so they can export one of our natural resources to China...hell...we've already given China our jobs now you want to let them suck us dry of an energy resource that should bring our price at the pump down...not up!

One thing I've learned about the "drill", coal,oil, nuke, energy freaks is they use different excuses to blame Obama. When gas prices soared under Bush and the "right wing" claimed it wasn't up to the President to control oil prices?

I say nationalized the refined product for as much as it takes to keep Americans from being victimized by the whomever is driving up the price.
