A Credibility Challenge to Farley and Friends

March 12 2012 - 11:27 AM

The following post has inspired me to start this string. Are the readers of Teamster.net interested in providing verifiable information that can and will be used in writing (or rewriting) the history of the Teamsters Union?

Ron Carey and his toodleoo incompetence and corruption are "history'....and shaman....those that refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it................it is my job to step in when toodleooers try to rewrite the sordid history of the Teamsters from 1991 until 1997-8 while the toodleoo and Carey were in charge by whitewashing Carey's corruption and attempted destruction of our Union. If you are so close to Paffy and the toodleoo ....tell them to come clean on ALL of their funding sources....including the corporate foundation money that flows through their money laundries, the TRF and the AUD?

We can rewrite history in our minds or we can submit material to a widely recognized, neutral and credible entity. Many of your brothers and sisters would be fascinated to watch and join in the process. This will give us a golden opportunity to criticize Wikipedia or other sources for using material that we can show is not correct. Put up or shut up. Best wishes in this endeavor.

The Role of the Jedi in Union Reform

March 03 2012 - 05:49 PM

Hello Jedi Knight and Friends:

The role of the Jedi is a very significant one.

"The Jedi use a power called the Force and weapons called lightsabers, which emit a controlled energy flow in the shape of a sword, in order to serve and protect the Galactic Republic and thegalaxy at large from conflict or governmental instability. Sometimes, the Jedi mediate peace negotiations among planets and other factions and, if necessary, use their formidable fighting skills to quickly end unrest or neutralize dangerous individuals. The Jedi are governed by aCouncil, consisting of twelve of the most powerful and wise members of the Jedi Order. They are bound to a code of morality and justice. The Jedi are trained to use the Force through rejection of passions and commitment to justice, as opposed to the ideals of the aggressive, highly passionate school known as the Dark side, favoring instead what is known in contrast as "the Light side."

George Lucas consulted with Joseph Campbell on the mythology that went behind the Star Wars Movies. Mr. Campbell was interviewed by Bill Moyers at the Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. The interview if presented in the six part television documentary originally broadcast on PBS in 1988 as Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth. ? It is one of my favorites. I am exploring the role of the hero archetype. Would you like to share notes? Teamster.net provides an excellent environment for exploring the path of the hero in defining and demonstrating Union Reform.

Thank you for giving me the motivation and opportunity to study this material.

Namaste,

Charlie Engel

I was inspired to post the above after learning that one of our new members, here on Teamster.net, goes by the name of "Jedi Knight".

Kudos to Teamsters Local 70 and to Marty Frates and Lou Marchetti

Kudos to Teamsters Local 70 and to Marty Frates and Lou Marchetti for their Support of the Oakland 99% movement. I perceive this movement is our last great hope to rescue our democratic republic from the greedy corporate robber barons of this the 21st century. I pray that we can save our republic.

Organizing and supporting both the medical marijuana movement and the legalization, taxing and regulating marijuana for social use is a wonderful endeavor. Since 1937 millions of citizens have been arrested and incarcerated for self medication and benign social use of one of the most beneficial plants created by God all mighty.

It has now been discovered that by injecting one of the components of marijuana into the tumor cells of mice the growth of the cancer cells is retarded. It may come to pass that because of the ridiculous prohibition of marijuana millions of human beings throughout the world died needlessly from cancer.
How stupid can we get?

Ten Top Labor Day Songs (better late than never)

September 12 2011 - 04:36 PM

"In honor of Labor Day 2011, here’s a stab at the impossible task of naming the best songs ever written about working people. I know it’s a travesty to not include ‘Which Side Are You On’, but I just couldn’t bear to knock out any of the eventual finalists. I also feel terrible about not including anything by The Clash orJohn Mellencamp and thought Johnny Paycheck’s classic ‘Take This Job and Shove It’ deserved mention."

You don't know pressure!

The following was posted on the Teamsters Talk forum earlier tonight. Here is my response. Click here to read the post on the Teamsters Talk forum.

Pressure, lol. You made me laugh out loud. You don't know pressure, obviously. At a certain point you move on because you gain nothing further from the confrontation. I moved on.  ;)

Who has experience under pressure? I assembled about four thousand pages of documents in my efforts to address serious problems in the work place. All of my documents were reviewed by the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. A Deputy D. A. suggested that I go to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I sent the Concord office of the F.B.I. several documents and made an appointment for an interview. The F. B. I. told me that the statute of limitations had run out for a R. I. C. O. complaint. They were wrong but I called it a day. I had given over a thousand pages of deposition and undergone five psychiatric exams. I have copies of all of them. I filed petitions with more government agencies than you are aware of. I also filed petitions with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the California Supreme Court. My efforts paled in comparison to what I have seen some of my friends do. I continue to post here because I gain something regardless of the response. Reading material that is posted on this site and engaging in the actions I have described has resulted my realizing an enhanced state of dispassion. This is a priceless boon for both a Yogi as well as an activist. Have you read my string on the UPS Forum? It is approaching 57,000 views. Do you think it is an accident or is it possible people have found something worthwhile to read?

Namaste,

Charlie

Ps. Read my deposition in the Randy Olson Federal Lawsuit. Now can you imagine pressure? Click here to read depositions
