[teamster strong]

As many might know by the post that the IBT staff organizers have requested reconition to bargain for a CBA. The IBT did not respond to the request so a petition for an election was filed on Friday. I am asking the support of every Teamster in contacting your local and having them commit to the very fiber of this organization. ORGANIZING It is a travesty that the same people that we ask to go to the streets to grow this GREAT UNION are not given the same dignity and respect that they fight for daily. This is what I thought we fight for " Employee Free Choice ------- Stop The War on Workers yet the same anti-union tactics used by big corporations are being used on our Brothers & Sisters. Please speak out and make this the buzz across Teamster America. Thank You

incentive pay/pay for performance for organizers bringing in new units may be the way to go shy of a contract which goes against our ibt constitution at the next convention bring a resolution to the delegates and let there be a debate then let them vote on changing the appointment provision aka at will status of organizers then and only then will you stand on solid ground but until that time please continue to do what you have been trained to do educate those non represented employees on the benefits of being union represented members so we can continue to grow the best union in the world
