Flip Flop Fred Gegare was charged in his home State of Wisconsin, and found guilty, of sexual harassment and discrimination in ERD Case # 199904265. The litany of acts of sexual harassment he committed included Flip Flop letting it all hang out and getting naked as a jay bird in front of a woman he had promised a job. Now It makes sense that two other serial sexual harassers (Lucio Reyes and "Jimmy The Weasel" Santajello) are among Fred's closest allies... Birds of a feather.
On top of this Fred's JC 39 is teetering on the verge of bankruptcy. The 2010 LM-2 reports that it's net assets are - 1,215, 457.
Thank God the Members saw through the smoke and mirrors this charlatan was putting up and soundly defeated him in the Election.
Fred has resigned his positions with the IBT effective Dec 31,2011. Now there are calls for him to resign as the head of JC 39, and his Local.
Fred should just retire, and leave with the last shred of dignity he has left... which isn't much.

I wouldn't know about Fred's local.
I do know that the War on Workers is spreading and will hit Minnesota very soon.
Our tea bag legislators are putting a Right-To-Work amendment on the ballot. It will take a lot of work to defeat it.
My brothers and sisters in the labor movement will have to come out in full force if we want to defend our union.

Just another thought... you think Gegare has no dignity? How many red vests do you think urged Gegare to run only to cave when Hoffa turned up the heat? Those are the ones you should be calling out. Gegare could have easily kept quiet and cashed checks for five more years. He didn't, he tried to correct what he felt was wrong and he lost. It's over Real. So how is it more dignified to throw rocks at the guy who's already gone.

It's MINUS 1.2 miliion. You missed the minus symbol.
Fred Gegare was not "the head of his Local" he was the VP of his local and did not run for re-election at the Local level. He has resigned all his IBT positions and has retired. There is no Wisconsin criminal court record of what you allege. Your guy won, Time will tell if Gegare was accurate in his warnings.
No, he gave up his position as Principal Officer of Local 75, merged with 662 and became VP. With no real responsibilities. He made 110,393 in 2010 for doing nothing, except mostly traveling. He REPRESENTS no Members in his Local. His crony Tony Cornelius, the President, also makes more than the Principal Officer. On the Local 662 Website Flip Flop Fred lists himself as the JC 39 President, not as VP of his Local.
Milwaukee Local 344, which represents UPS Statewide and has close to 5,000 Members has NO seat on the JC. But Local 43 which has less than 900 Members does. What kind of sense does that make?
