Please take the time to view the following video of an Indiana Jeffboat worker as he gives a short, but detailed, summary of the negative ramifications of Right-to-Work (For Less) and the implications it has for the social, economic and occupational well-being of Hoosiers and their families.
In addition, please visit our website at www.teamsters89.com to send a prepared email to Indiana legislators.
Let's get the word out and stop this assault on Indiana's working families!
Thank you!

Storms are a brewing
best be prepared
focus on the battle ahead
not the trolls on the sidelines that just take your eye off the ball
who gives a **** what a troll says??
Not me
No anybody else
We care about Right-To-Work
No matter what the numbers say
A soap opera is just entertainment
Things are about to get REAL !!!

We're going to be fighting this "War on Workers" for quite sometime; we need to have solidarity to win!

We need you to win this. Indiana needs you to win this. The American people need you to win.

This is an article about right-to-work written by the Heritage Foundation: http://www.miamihera...or-america.html
Why is the Heritage Foundation investing in this type of propaganda?
Just like that 'Waiting for Superman' movie, they must drop their propaganda before they assault.

As you've probably seen, the Republicans seem hellbent on passing this bill. But as an optimist, I think we still stand a chance of killing this thing. If they do indeed push it through, then it won't be because the Teamsters didn't fight.
I'm really proud of all our sisters and brothers throughout our union, as well as our allies in and out of the labor movement.
We need to be ready for these challenges in every state because our enemies are going to keep pushing this, like you said, to make this a national thing. We have to be ready to challenge this
wherever it pops up at a moment's notice!

You hit the nail on the head with "Waiting for Superman"!
I heard about the Bloomington Occupy folks. They're angry, and rightfully so!

hold tight to your anger and bring on the wreaking ball! If you're gonna be right-to-work you might as well go down swinging!

At first I got quite a chuckle out of your comment about passing a "right to consume law". And I genuinely thought it was hilarious when you went on to explain what it would entail; i.e. - the "right to go into any business you wish and get their services and products for free".
Then I got to considering it a bit more and it dawned on me that it's probably not a joking matter with you guys; that many of you today actually believe that you should get things for "free". In fact, in retrospect, it seems to explain what you've been after all along. It's easy to recognize that there are guys like you here on T-Net who, in their heart of hearts, really believe that everyone else owes them a "free" living...and that it's NOT something that they feel they should need to EARN. And with that came a new-found understanding as to why "right to work" scares the Hell out individuals such as yourself; you're deathly afraid that the RIGHT to work might actually involve the NECCESSITY to work competitively on the world stage, thus losing that "free lunch" so many union members have come to depend on (or did before they lost the "job" that provided it).
Can't say I agree with your stance, but I do appreciate your encapsulating what today's "union movement" seems to stand for; i.e. "gimme, gimme". I'll be sure to point your comments out in future discussions concerning the goals of the so-called "labor" movement.

Guess it's hard to argue against a logic-driven, reasonable response such as yours. In truth, I've always admired the intelligent way Teamsters such as yourself approach the very real challenges that confront them. No doubt your contribution is a prime example of why the union has been able to prosper so much over the last few decades. No living in denial for guys like you, right!?! [smile]
Have a good one...

They may be more formally educated then you are but they use their knowlege to hurt others.
They may speak more elequently then you do but their words are lies.
They may be wealthier in material then you are but they are morally bankrupt.
You may wear your heart on your sleeve but they have no heart to share.
You support unions and unions enrichen the lives of hard working people, union or not. The struggle to protect the meek from the larceny of today's "robber barons" is righteous and will not go unrewarded.
As for me, I still prefer to break the bones of their phoney faces.
P.s. I still spit in their food and drinks whenever I get the chance.

Ah', yet another worthy checks in! And with such a fact-based response as well!. As for your "as for me" comment......well, who would believe that a TEAMSTER would "prefer" such methods? [smile]
Again, it's no wonder that, with such meritorious comrades as yourself, the Teamsters have prospered as they have over the last few decades. Your fellow members must be very proud of a post which so enhances the union's reputation for clear thinking, civic responsiblity, and reasonableness.
And while perhaps I'm not quite willing to concede the high ground to some "far-sighted" individual who brags about "spit[ing] in their food whenever [he] gets the chance", and says he "prefer[s] to break bones", perhaps there are those Teamsters who are. Heck, maybe that represents the attitude of the union generally.
Does it, guys? Are the Teamsters defined by chock-headed ideas such as "11:58" presented here? If so, is the union prepared to advertise that fact? [cackle]
Whether it is or not, I personally very much appreciate responses like yours. "11:58". In terms of beneficial effect, I've no doubt that such "righteous" outbursts are equal to at least 10 of my "heartless" tomes; hope you don't mind my drawing attention to them.
In any case, keep 'em comin', will ya' guy?
