A few seconds after that, the video feed switched away from the House floor to a still image of the Capitol Dome. It appears someone in House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) office cut the feed, as C-SPAN tweeted afterwards: “C-SPAN has no control over the U.S. House TV cameras – the Speaker of the House does.”

It’s for reasons just like this, one might infer, that Boehner told C-SPAN back in February it would not be allowed control its own cameras.

John Boehner, House Republicans blink on payroll tax cut bill

House Republicans on Thursday crumpled under the weight of White House and public pressure and have agreed to pass a two-month extension of the payroll-tax cut

Boehner says he doesn't think this is "the time for celebration."

Yeah, probably because all the headlines say Republicans caved.

"It may not have been politically the smartest thing in the world."

Gee, ya think?

Boehner says, "Doing the right thing for the right reasons is always the right thing to do."

So you are admiting that the GOP has been and will continue to do the wrong thing......thanks for that

And Boehner has left the room—presumably, to go cry
