This story truly deserves a WTF rating on both sides.
I go into lots of facilities that celebrate their 'accident free status' by simply putting up the numbers on some kind of board. I have never been in a place where anyone wear's a badge or sticker or anything regarding this achievment.
Of course I always wonder about these places that seem to really emphasize these milestones and wonder what their true motivation is. Do they really care for the employees well being or are they really concerned about the cost of health care or workmens comp when someone gets hurt? But I digress....
I find the whole sticker concept equally as anal as Hyatt's superstition on 666 but to each their own as long as they don't hurt anyone.
The story begs more background and detail but here we go with what we have.
A north Georgia factory worker says he was fired for not wearing a symbol he says represents the devil.
Berry employees must wear stickers with the number of days the company has gone without an accident. When the number approached 666, Hyatt said he asked not to be forced to wear the sticker.

all the guy had to do was wear the sticker and when he looked down it would say 999 and he could feel all warm and fuzzy for supporting Koch-Cain !

could have been an easy feat but we all have our own beliefs right? The good thing is, I'm not the one who lost the job.
