Those who live daily with gun violence on Washington's streets, many of them teens, paint a stark picture of how easy it is to get a firearm. A gun can be bought with a few well-placed calls and a couple hundred dollars.
Since the ban was passed, more than 8,400 people have been slain in the district, many killed by handguns.

I hope they charge the shooter, with attempted murder, and violation of the hate crimes act.

On 11-17, went to a Tea Party Town Hall Meeting, which our local media lied about, actually a performance by Newt Gingrich. I have never heard God's name mentioned in vain so much, in my entire, 65 years of life. Tea baggers were whooped up, into a feeding frenzy! This is probably why, there was such a strong, police presence there. Whereas only blocks away, Occupier protested, in front of an unfinished, (and for years) appartment complex, had no cops! What does that tell you?
It equated too me as; The so called, christian right, is fare more dangerous, than some visionary, young folks, standing up for their first and amendment right to assemble, and speak up! We can not legislate morality, that's our higher powers biz, the old Taliban Government , legislated morality! Apparently, before 9-11-01, George Bush, admired the Taliban so much, he invited them to the U.S., gave then a red carpet tour of our country, then sent them back home, with I believe, an 18 million dollar love offering, but not out of the Bush's fortune, but our hard earned tax dollars!

In reference to Haz's assertion here on T-Net that he is....
"...a member the Mandarin Presbyterian Church..in fact, an ordained Elder, in this demonination [sic]"
....see ""Leadership" ( http://www.mandarinp...com/leadership/ ),
...sublink "Session@MPC" ( http://www.mandarinp...hp/session-mpc/ ),
....and sublink "Deacons" ( http://www.mandarinp...ex.php/deacons/ ) with link to PDF document of "Current List of Deacons" (deacons are listed as "ordained" as well)
Mentioning it because, if "Haz" (who, at various times, has given his full name here on T-Net) is indeed currently "an ordained Elder" in this congregation, I can't find where the congregation is acknowledging that fact. Anybody able to help me out there?

(Who, in light of what one might perceive to be Haz's spiritual tendencies, tried hard to avoid poking fun at his use of use of the term "demonination"...but ultimately failed)

Actually, you wrote...
"...am a member of the Mandarin Presbyterian Church..in fact, an ordained Elder, in this demomination[sic]", a quote which apparently both "dockman" and I had the opportunity (a lengthy opportunity, it would seem) to "cut 'n' paste" directly before it was changed. No biggie; I realize typos can happen, and can also understand the desire to correct them. I'm most assuredly not above doing that myself. Just thought this particular one was rather cute, that's all.
Beyond that, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be "lying" about. Mandarin Pres., on their leadership page, lists their elders and ordained trustees. All I was doing was pointing out that I didn't see your name listed; nothing more.
I'm not sure why that would make you seem to be so offended. Would you care to explain?

Always get a kick out of *you* describing others as "clowns" and speaking of THEIR alleged "dishonesty". Wanna' speak again of those "TOP 30", do ya'? [smile]
You are what you are, Farley; deal with it.

scabby...yet again you try to deflect from your lies....first attacking Haz's church...and now attacking the factual post about the top thirty corporations paying no income tax....,thanks again scabby for more reichwing lies and distortions....it really does put you and yours in the proper place of being liars.........if you ever told the truth....who would know?

***THE TOP*** 30? What "factual post"? Sure wasn't the one you linked to; it didn't claim "the top 30" of anything. And, as for "attacking Haz's church", I don't recall writing a single negative word about his church, let alone leading a concerted "attack". Care to point out where I did?
Seems that dishonesty is just an habitual thing with you, isn't it "Farley"?
Again, you are what you are. Deal with it.
