I am a proud member of Local 142 and we just had our Local elections this past Tuesday. The membership re-elected most of the executive board but our President. This is pretty sad because, although he isn't quite a people person, he is very good at negotiating contracts. So good that one lawyer recently stated "I've never had to deal with this from any other Teamsters local and I've been all over the country. I've just never seen any other contracts like this" to which our president looked at him, smiled and said "thanks".
