Yeah, no doubt union members don't want jobs. They don't want a balanced government budget. And most assuredly they want their economic opportunites to be stifled. And why not? [grin]
That said, one can't help but note that, under Daniels, Indiana is now debating returning a budget SURPLUS to the taxpayers. And that the state is now fractionally better in terms of employment/unemployment numbers than any surrounding state. And that, unlike other midwestern states, Indiana has been able to ATTRACT "foreign" auto plants based on the majority of the state's position on the freedom of labor. And I guess that one might want to make mention that cities in Indiana have, year after year, made the top tier in terms of "affordability" (wages vs. living costs).
Gosh, how could an UNION member want to choose SUCCESS! I mean isn't the primary purpose of unions to LOSE? After all, isn't that pretty much what unions have been doing for their members down through the years? Heaven knows the Teamster have been really great about maintaining and enhancing the job opportunities of THEIR members over the last 40 years or so, haven't they? In indiana, they can see that every time they look at the FedEx air hub while driving by on I-70 or I-465, right? Or drive across Raymond Street in Indy and see all the open and organized freight terminal. And union members generally can heap scorn on a government that brought Honda to Greensburg, or Electro-Motive to Muncie. Hell, guys like Mitch Danielsl and the Indiana legislature threaten them with PROSPERITY! Can't let that happen!
"Death wish" indeed! That's probably something that "every school child" would know about, isn't it? [smile]

In case you forgot, the NFL players decertified in order to get their way....remember? They were quite willing to forego union recognition - at least temporarily - for economic gain.
As for "union people want union jobs"; well, forgive me, but I can't help but think that the FIRST thing they want is ANY job....and what bozos like you have had to offer them over the years is the LOSS of their jobs. How many Teamsters were there when you first joined-up, Farley? Especially in the union's core industry? And - thanks to clowns like you - how many of those once-upon-a-time jobs are available to members today? And you call Daniels a "vulture"?????
I do wonder, though, why more wealth isn't "concentrated" in the hands of invididuals such as yourself, instead of in the grasp of those who actually EARN their way on this earth, and have something more to offer than "gimme, gimme" demands. Real mystery, isn't it? [grin...you'd think that "every school child" would be concerned about it!]
Lastly, when you speak about the wealth of this country, I'd appreciate it if you didn't use the possessive term "us". The fact is that people like you never made a positive contribution to the generation of this nation's wealth in any way, shape, or form. Rather, you've spent your entire adult lives threatening to destroy it if it wasn't passed over to you via coerced "charity"....and those of us who have-and-do make a contribution don't cotton to being associated with parasites.
You are what you are, "Farley". Deal with it.

P.S.- "Yes", you *DO* hit a sore point when you attempt to belittle your betters. One might note that people tend to feel a "sore point" has been hit when a dog sh_ts on their shoes as well.

and scabby , you lies will not fly....hoarding money and off shoring wealth does NOTHING to create wealth in America....workers create wealth......entrepreneurs put together ideas, labor, capital etc to make the economy work...and capitalists try to suck the meat off of the bones.

Thank so much for enlightening us, oh "Knowledgeable One". I'm sure everyone here appreciates the vast amount of " expertise" you bring to bear on any discussion of economic matters [smile]
Heck, in that area, you're probably right up there with "Haz"! (might have to confirm that with "any school child", though)

Haz is a moron. He got tossed off of another union message board for posting porn.

The era of Citizen's United has begun but we still have facebook, youtube, etc.
Let's see how the people respond. This next generation will have to think of creative ways to fight back.....
True talent is grass-roots and comes from the streets. Corporate culture has no idea how to tap into the pulse of the people.
Here is another Walker video at the state of the state address a little while back. Egypt also had a one year anniversary and their people are as pumped as ever.

While granting that your rather dyslexic mentality might have prevented you from noticing, I can't help but think that other readers recognized that, when referring to the situation with the NFLPA in my original post, I used the qualifier of "at least temporarily", as in ...
"They were quite willing to forego union recognition - at least temporarily - for economic gain."
Do you understand what the word "temporarily" means? Need to have a "schoolchild" look it up for you?
Sorry, "Farley"...looks like you screwed-up again. Just can't seem to catch a break, can ya' guy? Hint...actually READING the posts you're attempting to criticize might help. Let your eyes follow your finger if necessary.
