We just reviewed this in our center for the launch on Oct. 3. I am sure this will attract many regular customers to sign up. This is going to be a wait and see event. I like the idea of having customers signing off on a signature required package. The thought of giving customers a time commit could be a logistics nightmare. As with all new services the package car drivers will be most effected. I can see many scenarios being addressed in the near future in the managers office. I can only hope for minimal damage, but as usual have to prepare for another battle.
Let me know how this affects your center, I will be checking back for info.

Yea , we went over all this last week. This is a joke! They can't even tell us who gets what on a consistence basses anymore. The sups in our center are so stupid they send out messages to all the drivers asking who has what package on their car? I don't know about other centers but this is a joke in ours. Funny thing , Friday one of the young drivers said " they are going to have to adjust the dispatch for the extra miles we will run breaking off for this new service. " I asked him where has he been the past 10 years? UPS doesn't plan that far a head. They couldn't plan a cook out if 5 drivers were coming.
When you fail to plan , you plan to fail!

Hey all, well it will be a week since the service has been launched. I have not heard anything on the pipeline as to any problems. I hope this remains calm.
