Back to basic organizing and getting people on board. Organizing is not about any one contract it is about the teamsters and the numbers game.

Currently we are working on or developing campaigns in five of our core industries. Freight, Beverage, Waste, Produce/Food and construction.

It all starts with member training and mobilization, more than a dozen intense and detailed trainings have already been conducted and more are to come. The Joint Council is coordinating these trainings and developing the members as well as locals so we have the capacity to handle such a large undertaking. Thousands of members need to be trained in all industries in order for us to rise out of being at less than 7% density.

First thing we do is stop talking s hit about our contracts and our union.
After that we stop fighting one another
Then we get involved and educate ourselves on how to effectively communicate with non union workers
Last we get out and help them conquer their fear of organizing
