That time of the year when ups puts on the good corporate citizen act. Seriously think about not contributing to the United Way through ups. If you want to donate write a check, don't make ups look like heroes.

You're right. UPS likes to make it seem like all the donations that Teamsters contribute are UPS corporate money that was donated to United Way. That's why I don't donate through UPS. I do it individually to my charity/organization of choice.

You can still give to United Way without doing it through the UPS program.

Campos is doing a great job and hes the right man for the spot. Everyone at 705 are teh same people Steve got together for the members best interest. These same guys are the ones that people have dealt with for the last 8 years and will for the next several years.

I agree 100%! You don't have to go through UPS to donate to UW. This is nothing more than pr for UPS. Amazing how they will harass drivers to donate because corporate is pressuring them to meet a quota. UW is a good charity but UPS isn't the only way to donate. Its funny how they are harassing drivers over every little thing but wanna be our best buds this time of year.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matt 6; 33

I've always heard that UPS promises a certain amount to UW. Whatever amount the employees pay is less the company has to pay. I once told a manager that I would write a check to UW but would not give it through UPS. He told me if you aren't going through UPS I don't give a d##n if you give or not. I didn't.
