I want to thank Farley, RealTeam and 11:58pm for supporting Hoffa. Ms. Pope would have a real public relations problem if you supported her.

Coming from a Hoffa/Mack/Aloise/Frates hating jagoff like you, that's a very nice compliment.

After all, Charlie, everyone in the JC who's been around awhile knows you are a wild hickory nut eating follower of some way out Hindu woman. That lady who is a scab, and crosses picket lines. Alma, or whatever that fat sea cows, with the big red dot on her forehead, name is.

That you would support a scab over Teamsters, tells me all I need to know!

Sandy Pope has a myriad of problems. In November both you and her should get together (and bring along the sea cow scab!) and start a TDU TRAIL OF TEARS TOUR. You can probably even get some of these TDU turds on T Net to join you!!

"I'll Be There" (like they say in the TDU snot rag). NOT!!!!!!

Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma)

Amritanandamayi's world-wide charitable mission comprises a program to build 100,000 homes for the homeless, orphanages, relief-and-rehabilitation in the face of disasters such as the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami,[17] free medical care, pensions for widows and disabled people, environmental-protection groups, slum renovation, care homes for the elderly, and free food and clothing for the poor, amongst others.[7] These projects are managed and run by various organizations, including the Mata Amritanandamayi Math (India), the Mata Amritanandamayi Center (USA), Amritanandamayi-Europe, Amritanandamayi-Japan, Amritanandamayi-Kenya, Amritanandamayi-Australia, etc. All the organizations collectively are known as Embracing the World.

When asked about how her charitable mission's development in 2004, Amritanandamayi said, "As for the activities, there was no planning. Everything happened spontaneously. One thing led to another on seeing the plight of the poor and the distressed. As Amma meets each and every person, she sees their problems face to face and tries to do something to alleviate their suffering. Om lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu is one of the important mantras of Sanatana Dharma, which means, 'May all the beings in all the worlds be happy and peaceful.' The spirit of this mantra was put into action."[18]

The majority of work is done by volunteers as a form of spiritual practice. "It is Amma's wish that all of her children should dedicate their lives to spreading love and peace throughout the world. Real love and devotion for God is to have compassion for the poor and the suffering," Amritanandamayi says. "My children, feed those who are hungry, help the poor, console the sorrowful, comfort the suffering, be charitable to all.”[14]

Hello Farley: I agree with you on many points, especially your environmental posts. I would be impressed and amazed if you were to simply acknowledge that Ron Carey was acquitted of the charges that were brought against him. You are definitely in a different category than RealTeam and 11:58p.m. You appear to be a little confused while they are bitter, insincere and delusional. It all boils down to mental health issues. The ONLY "Shop Stewards" at the IBT are OPEIU Members, dumbass!! If it's a Teamster Steward, he's on the Local level.

Your continued sheer lack of understanding of our Union, and your utter ignorance are impressive. I don't usually tell people this. But in your case, I'll make an exception! YOU SHOULD JOIN TDU!!:fing20:

Yeah...OJ Simpson was acquitted as well but we all know they were both as guilty as sin!

Just out of curiosity Sherman, what did I ever say that made me sound bitter? 99% of the time I'm smiling, laughing and whistling Dixie while dumping on you and your friends and hero's at tdu.

On November 25, 1997, Ron Carey took a leave of absence from the Teamsters, just hours before the Independent Review Board accused him of illegally using union money to fund his 1996 re-election campaign and failing to meet his fiduciary duties.[5] Carey staunchly defended himself before the IRB, claiming that the accusations against him were based on the testimony of a single person (Jere Nash) who was trying to avoid prison time by implicating Carey.[108] He directly contradicted testimony by his former executive secretary, who said Carey knew of the kickbacks to his campaign.[109] Carey's attorney pointed out that the executive secretary had changed her testimony several times the past year, and that it had been undermined by testimony from another secretary and a mail clerk who both testified that the executive secretary admitted forging Carey's initials on donation approvals.[110] However, Carey admitted that he had not adequately overseen the union's finances, and did not know that the union had spent close to $1 million in political contributions during a 10-day period in October 1996.[109] The Independent Review Board expelled Ron Carey for life from the Teamsters union on July 27, 1998.[111] The IRB concluded Carey breached his fiduciary duty, but that there was insufficient evidence to conclude that he approved or knew about the donation kickback scheme.[111] "A fair inference to be drawn from all the facts is that Carey closed his eyes because he knew or suspected that those contributions were to generate a personal benefit for him, i.e., benefits to his campaign," the Board concluded.[111]

James P. Hoffa won election as President of the Teamsters union on December 5, 1998. He defeated Tom Leedham, 55 percent to 39 percent (with a third candidate garnering 6 percent).[112]
[edit]Post-Teamsters life and death

The Teamsters sued Carey for unspecified damages in 2000 for approving $885,000 in political donations in exchange for contributions to Carey's re-election campaign.[113]

Carey was indicted on federal perjury charges in January 2001. He was accused of making false statements to the grand jury in his August and Octobeer 1996 testimonies, and for lying to federal officials overseeing the Teamsters election and to the Independent Review Board.[114] Carey pled not guilty.[115] Carey's trial began in August 2001,[116] and he was found not guilty on all charges on October 12, 2001.[7]

Carey continued to protest the lifetime ban on Teamster membership for many years. He argued that his court vindication had proven the IRB wrong for expelling him, and that a lifetime ban should be applied only to those Teamsters associated with organized crime—not officials who may have engaged in other sorts of wrongdoing.[117]

In 2007, Carey was researching and writing a book based on his experiences.[118] He was critical of the policies of his successor, particularly the centralization of authority in the international headquarters, business-model organizing, and giving Teamsters officials permission to draw multiple salaries again.

ShamMan: "Insufficient evidence" is a long, long way from not guilty.

Who in their right mind signs checks over 200,000 without asking/knowing what they were for.

The dirty mfer put the FBI on me in 1996 FOR NOTHING. He, Judy Scott, and Dave Eckstein.

He was full of hubris and hypocrisy. The Genoese appointment, the case where his right hand man (John Long in LU 805) went to federal prison (and Carey signed those checks to the illegal chop shop in Brooklyn too!), his immunity from prosecution agreement with Rudy "Rico" Guilliani.... We could go on and on here.

He persecuted the Trustees (Simpson, Leal, and DeRusha-- if memory serves me correctly) for asking to review the IBT books. Which IS their responsibility under the IBT Constitution.... The punk persecuted dozens upon dozens of Teamster Local leaders... Frank Wsol, Billy Hogan, TC Stone, Ralph Taurone are a couple that come to mind. The punk went to my work and my Local trying to persecute me.
HE WAS GUILTY!!

Denial is not a river in Egypt, ShamMan. Abandon the dark side and come into the light of truth!

Realteam you got John all wrong !!! His claim to fame is being the appointed S/T of Local 952 in the 80's. He must know a whole lot about union matters being that they removed him from his appointed position and he is still bitter to this day about it.

true storey. Hoffa flew from DC to Detroit and back several times during the Northwest mechanics strike. Hoffa refused to let the internatioanl sanction aand honor the mechanics strike. Hoffa even had the travel department continue to book Northwest flights for internatioanl staff during the strike. Now Hoffa flys around the country with Netjets. They are a leasing company that furnishes lear jets for their customers. Like I said once a scab always a scab. Check out the LM2s and dig deep the informaton is in there.

I can't personally testify to Hoffa's flying on Northwest during the mechanics strike, but I followed the "AMFANuts" website (granted, mostly sponsored by those represented by AMFA who wanted to revert back to their previous union, which was the IAM I believe) pretty closely at the time, and I recall the AMFA supporters complaining quite bitterly about Hoffa's using NWA (which was the major carrier out of Detroit). Not sure if that alleged lack of support had anything to do with Hoffa wanting to take over airline mechanics representation, but do note that, afterwards, the Teamsters won at least one jurisdictional war, with mechanics who were AMFA decertifying that union and voting the Teamsters in.

11:58pm is secretly a Sandy supporter. I get it now, your name says it all. Hoffa has about 2 minutes left in office and a new day will start with Sandy as General President.
