Hoffa will Refuse to Debate

Hoffa has never had the guts to show up in pesron and debate any challegner in any past electoin. He had Chuck Mack fill in for him before and now that Mack is gone who will he pick to be his mouthpeice? If he is the best candiadate for the job then why can't he speak for himself?

Why would anyone waste their time debating the two gutless wonders who are running. Don't forget they both had a whole week to get up, in front of their peers, and debate all of the policies they are going to change, improve, invent, lie about, misinform, etc. Nothing at all from either of them. Why, because they knew they would get their ass handed to them by people who where there and know the truth. I know I know, 1500 puppets according to those who have no support. I would guess that if there is a debate, it will be Hall or Aloise who will debate. Hoffa won't waste the time...

Agreed. Brother Jim Hoffa is THEE General President of THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS. We are a 1.4 million Member strong trade union, which represents everything from accountants to zookeepers...

I'm sure he has better and bigger things to do... Plus, why would he WANT TO debate to fly by night jagoffs, who don't have a snowballs chance in Hell? To valididate their idiocy, I mean candidacy? Give me a friggin' break!

Because he don't have the answers. If he didn't have a piece of paper in front of him, he wouldn't be able to make a speech.

Camero, You really have no idea about any of this. When you are the president you never lend credibility to your opponents, especially when they demand it. Its just not very presidential to do so. Even if he did decide to debate the "know nothing" Sandy Pope, he could still bring his "piece of paper", couldn't he?

Its Sandy who has no answers. She cant answer for her local, she will never answer for the international.

I'm just saying, I've been around Pres. Hoffa, and there are times I feel like he don't know what's going on! Now I do know Pres. Hoffa has made the statment (That's Why I hired these people to do the work) but, as President he should make them (meaning Todd, Christy, Leo, and Eddie Boy) keep him imformed and let him (Hoffa) make the call. Hoffa does sit in the Chair....

I'm just saying... Jim Hoffa is aware of every issue regarding American workers, the global labor movement and is astute to everything going on within this union.

That’s Hoffa’s problem. He is aware of problems but does nothing. He knows what is going on in the union like you say, like what was going on in Chicago with corruption but he ignored it.

He knows there are a lot of Teamsters who want answers about pensions, job security, givebacks and so on but he won’t participate in the one debate that is required by the election officer.

Hoffa could learn from Sandy about having some guts and standing up for what you believe in.

Like James R. Hoffa there is no debate. The only thing Jim Hoffa could learn from Sandy Poop is how to collect ballots.

All the answers to members concerns have been given to the members and their duly elected leaders. If the leader of your local is not giving you the correct information then you either refuse to accept the truth or they are probably tdu.

I haven't heard an answer about why the 22.3 jobs are not being accounted for. David Thornsberry tried to ask about it at the convention but couldn't get an answer. Let me try:

"WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THERE WAS AN AUDIT OF HOW MANY 22.3 JOBS TEAMSTERS ARE CURRENTLY WORKING AT UPS?"

My principal officer says Ken Hall won't give him an answer when he asks that question.

LOL - these people are too funny! This is the SOLIDARITY everyone is looking for!

I won't pretend to know much about Hoffa's opposition, although it would tickle me to see POPE walk away with HOFFA's favorite chair!

I don't expect to see Hoffa debating anyone, like you said DOG. But, in the event he decides to get a little cocky, the truck drivers at the PORT and I would love to have a few words with Hoffa.
I don't really suspect he would be so stupid to engage in an open forum with 3,000 very pissed off people.
Chuck Mack should have never chosen himself over the Oakland Port Truckers! and his replacement, well lets just say
Doug Bloch hasn't made Hoffa nor Aloise none too popular with these West Coast professionals.

22.3 jobs???? are you joking...remember the last time the toodleoo was in charge??? Carey and the toodleoo completely ignored the 22.3 jobs and the Locals went wild....it took a change in Leadership when the crooked incompetent toodleoo were ousted to get any 22.3 jobs.....and NOW someone is suggesting a return to the dark old days when Teamster Destyruction Units (the toodleoo) were in charge???? especially with a know nothing like "the Pope"

I'm a stealth Hoffa supporter. I haven't announced my support before now because I didn't want to appear too shallow or misinformed. The Hoffa name is and has been something for the Teamsters Union to be proud of. After all, how many labor leaders have demonstrated an ability to successfully propagandize their constituents? Yes, I support Hoffa. Everything is in the name! History and record will only confuse the membership! Vote for Hoffa and get more of the same!

Ps. Can anyone tell me where to get a transcript or recording of grievance panel hearings?
