conventoin is over and the dirty politics begin. Looks like the Hoffa vice president candidate Tyson Johnson is making a move to elinimate Gregare candidatre Zuckerman as head of the national carhual division. Johnson is trying to elinimate the carhaul division by incoporating the carhaul division into his national freight divsion. Want to bet he has Hoffa and Halls blessing on this? Then Hoffa candidate Alosie is in the middle of a local 601 contrversy that should bring a rerun order of the Lucio Reyes electoion because of excessive external meddling in the last local electoin. Reyes will get another shot at his electoin because too many outsiders got invloved in his last one. Reyes was going to be a candidate on Gregares slate. Maybe Reyes should file electoin officer charges that he was denied eligbility and a slate position because of the excessive meddling in his local election.

Reyes was the most dishonest official in the history of the West. He is now under investigation by the DOL and he may go to jail. Sounds just like gegare's kind of guy. He lost the election by a 5 to 1 margin even after he put in a ringer third slate. No one would order a re-election. He is gone.applied for his pension and is going back ro Mexico.yr

Sometimes I wish Hoffa was more like Ron Carey so he could trustee everyones local for political gain then dole out trustee jobs to all his top supporters but most time I'm glad that he wins elections on hard work.

removal of Zuckerman dirty politics?????? are you shitting me? I remember when fred was a Carey suck-up and they removed a very capable Brendan Kaiser from the national committee because Brother Kaiser wanted to uphold the contract and National Grievance rules....and Carey, Zucky, and the toodleoo wanted to put their incompetents (Sam Fenn, Ken Mee, etc) in charge and change the rules!!!!! Now that was dirty politics ala toodleoo....Removal of Zucky is just smart politics and a great decision....Zucky has finally been found out! sorry toodleoo boys...there are several of us left that remember what a mess you made last time you were given the keys!

"political gain" or the best interest of the membership? I've asked you for examples in the past and you've remained mute. Well...would you suggest that this was a trusteeship motivated by political gain?

I'd suggest that this trusteeship was in the best interest of the members of Local 966 and had nothing to do with political gain or providing jobs for Carey supporters.

I have no idea "how great local 966 is". What I do know, and what the link, an IBT source, should have made clear to even you, is that Local 966 was not put into trusteeship for political gain, but for the benefit of members who were being victimized by mob influenced local officers. It simply isn't a question of how "great" the Local is, it's a question of how badly it was being run when Carey put it into trusteeship. C'mon...do your own damn homework. Search the history of Local 966 and see what you come up with. The "Fat Tony" Salerno family? The Sombratto connection? The McCarthy family (Mclellan Hearing McCarthys)? Sorry 11:58, you've run your mouth a bit too much on the "Carey" "political gain" trusteeships and you don't have a goddamn clue! The link that I provided was to teamster.org. I would have thought that site was your bible. Anyway, a search of Local 966 on teamster.org would suggest that the current principal officer of that Local has worked hand in hand with the current administration in taking on Frito Lay as well as dragging the former scab officers of 966 into court for raiding Teamster bargaining units. As I told you earlier, if you'd like more history on 966, you're going to have to do your own homework. And do I want to through(sic) money into that bet? No...I don't even know what that means.
