"What?" the operator exclaimed. "I said there is a damn Democrat on my front porch playing with himself and he's weird; I don't know him and I'm afraid! Please send the police!" the little old lady repeated.
"Well, now, how do you know he's a Democrat?"
"Because, you damn fool, if it was a Republican, he'd be screwing somebody!"

Do you like paying your electricity bill? This question is as disingenuous as the above one.
Really? Do your homework before you spew. I live in Illinois. The pathetic dem hiked our state taxes by 66%. And slave labor? Your party is no better at dealing with illegals then are the Republicans. And take your class warfare crap and stuff it tool. All taxes hit everyone. Including those that punch a clock like me. Stuff your 'greedy Republican' shit up your ass punk. And how inbred are you anyway? You think the wealthy don;t pay their fair share? You idiot. The top 5% earners pay half the taxes. Dope.

These data suggest that wealth is concentrated in the hands of a small number of families. The wealthiest 1 percent of families owns roughly 34.3% of the nation's net worth, the top 10% of families owns over 71%, and the bottom 40% of the population owns way less than 1%.

Dear Mike:
I am in receipt of your letter to UPSer´s dated August 6, 1997. I spent a couple of hours writing a detailed response to that letter only to decide to discard it. How can I directly respond to an intentional distortion of truth that is simply too tragic for words? The tragedy lies in the fact that you so insincerely represent such a small dimension of what it means to be fully human.
It is obvious that much preparation went into your letter. You have been very clever in putting a distorting spin on the truth. When you can´t be truthful it becomes necessary to muddle the facts. It requires exceptional skill to write a letter such as yours. Or were the authors a team of corporate UPS propaganda ministers. Joseph Goebbels would be proud of them. It is obvious that you are hoping to take full advantage of the ignorance and fears of the average worker. If UPS were to prevail you would suck the vital life out of my community and leave us all with broken promises. I am one of a growing number that are here to see that you don´t.
One of the costumes I wear is that of a shop steward. I wear a Teamster jacket and hat and I speak up for the Union. I do so because I can sincerely say that my Union is acting in my best interest. It is in my best interest to speak up for my brothers and sisters of all races that haven´t yet learned to speak for themselves. I care about my community. I am more fortunate than most. I enjoy good wages and the protection of a strong Union. The New Teamsters are but one of many tools that I am learning to use in order to secure the rights that have been afforded the American worker by law. I am struggling to learn how to better protect my coworkers and myself from exploitation.
The temporary loss of wages is nothing compared to the horror of watching a corporate giant intentionally degrade the spirit of so many. What you are doing is contrary to the American family and the American way of life. Mike, you are a representative of the blank face of unmitigated corporate greed. You are a tentacle of a soulless, parasitic, corporate Goliath. It is your master. I am your antithesis. I represent the heart and soul. The New Teamsters do not wish to slay the beast, merely civilize it.
And that´s the way it is.

If your workplace is safe; if your children go to school rather than being forced into labor; if you are paid a living wage, including overtime; if you enjoy a 40-hour week and you are allowed to join a union to protect your rights -- you can thank liberals. If your food is not poisoned and your water is drinkable -- you can thank liberals. If your parents are eligible for Medicare and Social Security, so they can grow old in dignity without bankrupting your family -- you can thank liberals. If our rivers are getting cleaner and our air isn't black with pollution; if our wilderness is protected and our countryside is still green -- you can thank liberals. If people of all races can share the same public facilities; if everyone has the right to vote; if couples fall in love and marry regardless of race; if we have finally begun to transcend a segregated society -- you can thank liberals. Progressive innovations like those and so many others were achieved by long, difficult struggles against entrenched power. What defined conservatism, and conservatives, was their opposition to every one of those advances. The country we know and love today was built by those victories for liberalism -- with the support of the American people.
