"Strength is a warrior-quality one normally considers in terms of intensity of physical force. For a spiritual warrior, and even for a soldier, strength of character is what's vital. It takes a deep inner strength to maintain principles in the face of adversity and challenges."

"Republican Jesus is currently considered a front-runner for the Republican nomination for the U.S. presidency in 2012. He is expected to finance his campaign from his personal fortune, which is estimated to exceed 100 million dollars. He claims that he can win the election with the immaculate power of George W. Bush's severed phallus which he was given as a gift for locating WMDs in Iraq after the war began."

The EPA was signed into law by Nixon..............a Republican.
>>With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised.<<
The FDA was formed in 1906. Teddy Roosevelt was POTUS.......................a Republican.
>>All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too<<
You better update that one lefty. Oh and BTW, your buddy Obama has given some bureaucrat, the HHS secretary, the power to decide what you will be covered for or won;tr be covered for. You like that?
>>He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.<<
You must be referring to the underfunded and undermanned USDA.
Here ya go lefty. Instead of the left side of the aisle ting to force Obama's green bilge on Americans, how about fixing the USDA?
Undermanned USDA poses risk to food supply - Related Stories ...
>>In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained<
Only a paranoid whack job reads a shampoo bottle for ingredients and sure as hell doesn't understand it anyway.
>>The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air<<
Already covered. Nixon....................the Republican, signed the EPA into law.
>>He walks to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.<<
LOL! Where do YOU live? I live in Chicago. Do your homework on how broke the CTA is as well as the recent 30% Metra hike. And after that, please point out the virtues of constantly bankrolling Amtrak. Or Obama's idiocy of high speed rail.
>>Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.<<
What planet do YOU Live on? You see how many companies have gone under since 2008? How many companies have gone ch. 11 since 2008? You think this is 1966? And workman's compensation as well as unemployment benefits vary by state.
>>It's noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FDIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression<<

>>Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe is home from work.<<

>>He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards<<
NHTSA was officially established in 1970 by the Highway Safety Act of 1970. That would be Nixon's term. You know. Nixon the Republican.
>> His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.<<
Get it right lefty. Here is why the Farmer's Home Administration was formed...............
Farmers Home Administration
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Farmers home administration)
In 1946 Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) replaced the Farm Security Administration which superseded the Resettlement Administration. Its mission and programs involved extending credit for agriculture and rural development. Direct and guaranteed credit went to individual farmers, low-income families, and seniors in rural areas. Loans were given for housing, farm improvement, water systems and emergency relief. It also gave loans and grants for rural development. Between 1947 and 1994 it expanded the availability of credit and size of loans. [1] In the later years it extended credit to individuals and communities for non-farm use. In 1994, the USDA was reorganized and the functions of FmHA were transferred to the Farm Service Agency.
>>He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.<<
SS will be broke by 2037. Why? Because some POS lib named LBJ decided to put SS on budget instead of treating it like an annuity or an IRA. That means that any ans all pols of either party could dip into it and leave an IOU in it's place. And union pensions? Those are negotiated. Get educated. They are not a right.
>>Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have.

President Obama’s Regulatory Zeal Is Hurting This Country
Rob Port • December 17, 2011
Of late the Obama administration has been on a charm offensive about federal regulation. Specifically, they’re trying to dispel what they characterize as a myth of federal regulatory overreach. But the folks at the Wall Street Journal decided to look at the facts, and found them not in the Obama administration’s favor:
The White House is on the political offensive, and one of its chief claims is that it isn’t the overregulator of business and Republican lore. This line has been picked up by impressionable columnists, so it’s a good time to consider the evidence in some detail.
Jan Eberly, an Assistant Treasury Secretary, kicked off the Administration campaign with a white paper in October that purported to debunk the “misconceptions” that “uncertainty is holding back business investment and hiring and that the overall burden of existing regulations is so high that firms have reduced their hiring.” Then the Administrationmobilized some of the worst offenders, such as Kathleen Sebelius of HHS (“There has been no explosion of new rules”) and Lisa Jackson of the EPA (her opponents are “using the economy as cover”).
To answer the most basic question—has regulation increased?—we’ll focus on what thegovernment defines as “economically significant” regulations. Those are rules that impose more than $100 million in annual costs on the economy, though there are hundreds if not thousands of new rules every year that fall well short of that.
According to an analysis of the Federal Register by George Mason University’s MercatusCenter, the Cabinet departments and agencies finalized 84 such regulations annually on average in President Obama’s first two years. The annual average under President Bush was 62 and under President Clinton 56.

Here are those numbers in graphical format, which shows the startling reality of the problem:

The rise in federal regulation under Bush/Clinton certainly. That Bush, with a Republican Congress for most of his term in office, grew the federal government’s regulatory regime faster than Clinton should be the surest evidence yet that the former president was no conservative even if you account for the impact of 9/11, but Obama has taken what was bad under both Bush and Clinton and made it worse.

Every year our federal government passes dozens of new rules and regulations – many of them not even getting a vote in Congress – that cost private citizens and businesses billions to comply with (by the government’s own measure of their impact) and then we wonder why our businessflee to other countries, and why our nation falls behind as a global economic power.

The federal government has a pillow over the face of the economy, and Obama is pushing down on that pillow harder than any president before him.

Regulation is extremely necessary in a Capitalistic society. Not having Federal regulations resulted in a situation that caused the housing bubble to burst and the banking industry bailout of 2008.

The biblical Jesus preached at length about renouncing worldly possessions and giving to the poor. Republican Jesus believes that such handouts merely encourage the poor to be lazy, and that Christian charity is better practiced through massive tax breaks for the wealthiest citizens, who could then be expected to let the money "tinkle down" to the poor in the form of honest, if low-paying, jobs at upright Republican institutions like Wal-Mart.

Your (rather ironical!) comment of....
"Yeah, call me names if that makes you feel like such a smart guy"
...leads one to ask; did *YOU* "feel like such a smart guy" when *YOU* were "call[ing] names"? I.e. - names like "scab" and "jackass"?
Talk about a "bag of crap"! Guess the above goes a long way toward showing that *YOU* are no "dope", doesn't it? [smile]
