My Goodness! Dennis Kucinich being interviewed on a Russian television network. Not much better "credibility" than that, I'll tell ya'! [grin!]

And so, sociopathic corporate bums, adds Russians to his hate list, along with black people, and of course, Teamsters!

Considering that, until very recent times, UPS was entirely owned by its present and past management, and that every dollar that was spent on "the Union" came directly from their pockets in terms of lost capital gains and dividend distributions, I'm not exactly sure how you arrived at your conclusion. Simple fact is that the union involvement COST UPS managers.
As for Eastern/Delta, wouldn't it be better to ask those union members who once had jobs at Eastern down just how many "rasies" THEY got after they brought the company down? Delta employees, of course, exist to this day. What about "Eastern" (union) employees? And I guess we could discuss all the "union" trucking companies of a few decades ago that are still "thriving" today, couldn't we? [smile]. The point being, of course, is that if you insist on claiming that unions have improved the conditions of those who are NOT union, but still working, then in fairness you should also take into account the vast number of those who have LOST their employment due to union influence....which, one would think, is a topic someone such as yourself would have some familiarity with.

This is ghost money. It the 'money grows on trees' mentality.
"All capital is the fruit of labor. Capital cannot exist unless labor exists first" - Abe.
But Glenn Beck is a has-been --- just like scab.
No, point in feeding this beast.
This thread should die, just like the Beckster's career.
Thanks, scab, for flooding the mental health clinics by purporting schizophenia on the airwaves when the Beckster inflicted mass insanity into the public. good for nothing.

Yes, capital *IS* the "fruit of labor"....more specifically, the labor OF THE CAPITALISTS! It's not the fruit of those they hire, or those that come after them, but rather their own fruit, to be gathered in as they - "they" being the one's who put forth the labor to begin with - see fit.
Hard concept for those who haven't had the foresight, or the ambition, or the ability to conserve their labor and transform it into capital to understand, I'm sure. For them, the fact that others HAVE converted their labor into capital is a reason for envy...and somehow a justification to confiscate that capital.
In truth, capital can't exist unless" labor" exists first. But, again, that's the capitalist's labor, and their capital doesn't equate, nor is it dependent upon on, current labor.
Can today's "labor" convert itself into tomorrows "capital"? Sure, if it's willing to "bank" it's labor to affect the conversion. If, however, all "labor" can do is demand the fruits of OTHERS actual labor, then probably not...nor should they.

Mighty UPS will not be brought down by the cost of labor, it will be brought down when there is no more money in the hands of the vast spending public that will only need a grocery store.

This has got to hurt.
The New York Times published a profile of Jon Huntsman, Sr. this weekend. Huntsman is the billionaire chemical magnate best known for manufacturing fast-food containers. He is also the father of GOP presidential hopeful, Jon Huntsman, Jr. He is also Glenn Beck's role model.
Glenn Beck featured Huntsman on his Fox News program several times and awarded him the Badge of Merit for charity at the "Restoring Honor" rally. Beck spoke effusively of his admiration for Huntsman.
"He is the only man I have ever met that I believe has the character of George Washington. Jon Huntsman, Sr. is a good friend and mentor of mine."
[And...] "...a man I look up to and try to model myself after."
I have to wonder how Beck is going to take it when someone reads him the Times' profile and Beck learns this about his mentor:
He sympathizes with the Wall Street protesters. "The political system, he agreed, is broken. Ethics have foundered." "All men and women need a roof over their heads, and need to be fed and have proper health care. I don't know that I believed that, or even understood that, in the early days."
