Wow...added a flash intro. And a download for petitions. I have seen folks running for their Little League executive board have better websites. Listen, just a word of advice. If you want to connect with the members, at least put a little effort into how you communicate with them. I'm sorry, but if Fred thinks putting up a crappy website will help him win this election...it doesn't say much for his ability to put together a strong team to lead this Union. I mean for Chrissakes! If you can't put together a team to make a decent campaign website how in the HELL will you put together a team to lead over a million Teamsters?

Fred Gegare couldn't lead anything. He is a give away artist and back room deal maker. He needs to go away. I hope the hell he stays out of Las Vegas. He nearly cost our pension in ready mix. He is shit and surely not General President material. I have my own issues with Hoffa but I will take the devil I know before I would ever support this snake. That dog aint gonna hunt here.  :-| :-| :-|

Grass roots my friend, grassroots.

Back in the day when then candidate Hoffa was starting out, he had members driving him around in their family wagons doing barn visits, getting the word out. Now you base worth and substance on flash, neon lights and fancy webpages, your understanding of Brother Gegare is way off. Shake his hand and feel that grip, that isn't from pounding keys on a computer or dancing with the stars.........grass roots my friend, grass roots.

I have shaken Freds hand. I don't base my opinion on "flash", or "neon lights"...I know Fred. And I can say honestly that I don't believe he has what it takes to be General President. I do not dislike him. In fact, I have been around him enough to have enjoyed his stories, and his "tell it like it is" attitude. Unforunately, being GP requires a little more tact than referring to people as "communists", "cunts" and "hippies". I think Fred believes in this Union. I think his heart is in the right place. But I would have never thought he was capable to be GP, and based on the people he has selected to be part of his team I am now CONVINCED he can't be GP. Zuckerman? Slawson? Reyes? These people bring more BAGGAGE to the table than ideas. If Fred had come out of the gate with some exciting, energetic and hard working folks on his slate, that would have at least sent a message to the members that he was serious about putting together a slate. But sadly, he chose folks who can actually be blamed for a lot of the crap he wants to bitch about. Zuckerman fucked up the Allied pension contribution agreement, or at least he was in charge. Slawson fucked up...well a lot of stuff if you read Tnet...Reyes apparently has an affinity for whores...Look, what I'm saying is you can't complain about the way things are being done and then promise to bring in the very people who are responsible for fucking them up and promise to make everything better. Gegare voted as a Trustee to allow UPS out of Central States. And then he wants to throw rocks at Hoffa because it happened? He also apparently agreed to Yellow stopping their contributions. I'm sorry there groucho, but Freds idea to run for GP comes off as half cocked and ill conceived. His idea of running mates comes off as sheer idiocy.

I've looked at both Gegare's website and Hoffa's website and Gegare's is actually more informative at this point. The only thing on Hoffa's is about the petitions. Do you think everyone is as dumb as you and they won't look? and tell me about what pension thing Zuckerman fucked up? I understand Allied is current with their payments and all members are receiving their credits. You Hoffa guys will tell any kind of lie hoping you can get folks to vote for you. Hoffa is done.

Suckerman fucked up Allied's pension by allowing them off the hook for June and July of 2009. He didn't tell anyone - especially Allied members - that he and Gegare let Allied get away without paying 2 months of their pension obligations. I'm just wondering if this is how he set up his buddy Buzzy with a big gig at Allied after he retired from the union?

You're still full of shit like you were in the other thread. Allied negotiated directly with the fund for which they have to repay and not one member lost any credits. You can keep wondering all you want about Buzzy but when he was let go at the IBT because the IBT is broke and can't afford to pay anyone he can go to work anywhere he wants. Now you will say Buzzy left on his own and I will say he didn't and I checked with him and he was forced out. So you can keep this silliness going and continue to tell your lies but remember this - you only have 17 months more to lie to the members and then you will be gone. Gegare 2011

Sounds like a Gegare special - another giveaway for the employers. He probably even got it signed on a napkin at the bar. That's just what we need a drunken fool for General President.

You still sound like that drunken fool Todd Thompson or maybe stupid little (ha ) Cristy Bailey. Don't know who to blame for all the bad shit at the IBT? Let me give you a clue. Start on the 3rd floor with the little fat guy who never was a Teamster and doesn't understand what Teamsters need. But keep your little shit going cause we're going to have a lot of fun and hear a lot about you two fools in the very near future and go to Johnny's and get slobberin drunk and figure out what to fuck up tommorrow. Have a nice day because your days at the IBT are numbered. Gegare 2011

I realize that this is an excercise in futility but...c'mon 107...you just don't like anyone. What is your answer? Vote for TDU? A bunch of fucking non-Teamster pieces of shit that won't even let you in their meetings unless you agree with them? Hoffa is the only guy running that is capable of leading the over 1 million Teamsters we have, and you know it. And when you say the East won't vote for him, you are sadly mistaken. We will vote overwhelmingly for Hoffa again, because the Northeast knows that he is the best qualified. Do I expect you to agree with everything he does? Umm, no and if you did I would call you a suckass. But looking at it through clear, objective eyes...there IS no other viable candidate.

It's rather rewarding to see someone is responding in a sensible manner on issues that support or expose issues regarding the abilities potential leaders of our great Teamster Union.

Does anyone know if Fred got the required number of signatures? While Hoffa's website says Hoffa/Keegle have more than needed, Fred's website hasn't reported yet.

The earliest date that one could turn in the signature sheets were late last week, as the window is open for some time yet to get the signatures into the camps. It's a long campaign yet and the use of the "battle pages" of our Teamster Magazine is a welcome site for all our Brothers and Sisters to view when the time comes.

Every Brother and Sister should download a sheet from http://www.fredgegare2011.com and get 13 others to fill it out to give the candidates the opportunity to express their platforms.
