If they are in S.C. you can bet they are non union. Can you tell me the last time the UAW organized any "new" car or truck plant?

I know they have a push going for the Honda plant in Alabama. Not sure how it's foing though. And with the problems with the one's UAW represents teetering on bankruptcy it will be a hard sell right now. But I would like to see all unions make a comeback since the numbers appear to be dwindling in all crafts. Just look at LTL and how they are on the ropes compared to the scab outfits. We only have ABF, YRC Corp and UPS freight. With the high # of layoff's it's hard to convince these folks that a Union would be in there best interest. You and I realize the substantial benefits of having representation, but educating others is quite the task.
He is not the only one driving a forien car. John Philipenus the Secretary Treasuerer at Local 631 in Las Vegas bought his wife a Lexus and The President Kevin Hardison bought his wife a BMW what a discrace there is no excuse for a Union oficial to do this I dont care who they are. And they shaop at Walmart.
PROUD TO BE A TEAMSTER AND A GOOD UNION MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't there a BMW plant in S.C.? Are they Union by chance?
Yes, there is a BMW plant in Greenville SC. and no they are not organized. They wanted to organize with then Local 28, but Ricky Maxwell didn't want to loose office when those potential members would become eligible to run for office after 24 months of membership! He ended up loosing the local after Hoffa mandated a merger with 509. He is now the VP of 509 and has yet to organize any companies with substantial numbers!Oh BTW caterpillar also asked for help from local 28. If memory serves me correct BMW had about 2000 employees and Cat had around 1500. Total membership at 28 before merger just under a 1000!
