Oddly enough, the suppressed document that bothers me most (with the exception of the Birth Certificate) is the Department of Education State of Hawaii school records. They are the 2nd record of contact with authorities that would have provided not only Date & Place of Birth, but also a legitimate birth name and record of vaccination that identified where he was raised. No one enrolls in school in Hawaii without a vaccination record, yet he is identified in a class photograph while the records are non-existent.

Sorry Farley not that simple. You just can't shrug it off as a "GOPer" conspiracy. There are real people, filing real law suits, in real courts of law. Do you really think they would waste their time and money if it were all "dishonest rantings"?

And, why do you fight it so? Don't you think it's a little strange that obama who promised transparency in his administration, is the least transparent of them all?

Judge soundly rejects Georgia birther claims



Deputy Chief Judge Michael Malihi has rendered his judgment, breaking birther hearts all over the country: Barack Obama will remain on the 2012 primary and general election ballot in Georgia.

The judge’s written opinion all but drips with scorn for the absurd case presented to him by Orly Taitz and her colleagues:

“The Court finds the testimony of the witnesses, as well as the exhibits tendered, to be of little, if any, probative value, and thus wholly insufficient to support plaintiffs’ allegations…. None of the testifying witnesses offered persuasive testimony. Moreover, the Court finds that none of the written submissions tendered by plaintiffs have probative value. Given the unsatisfactory evidence presented by the plaintiffs, the court concludes the plaintiffs’ claims are not persuasive.”

In other words, the birthers finally got a judge to listen to their “evidence,” and even with no opposing counsel in the courtroom, the judge concluded that their case was total and complete bunk.

Considering the mess the previous administration left behind, like the lies they manufactured to get us into a *war that has nearly bankrupted the country this birth certificate thing doesn't bother me at all, even though I'm no Obama "fan". The only proof I have of my birth is the one the State of Georgia issues. However, with the expert computer skills of my son-in-law a "long form" wouldn't be hard to recreate especially since old records have none of the tamper proofs of the newer birth certificates.

*BTW..in a recent CNN interview even Ron Paul says that the Bush administration lied about the war!

Funny, but I don't recall things "going South" for "the Administration"/country until there was a Democrat majority in Congress. In fact, I remember discussions here on T-Net in which guys like VegasJim remarked that it was going to be extremely difficult to sway legislation in organized labor's direction as long as the Republicans in office held unemployment as such low levels as they had been; i.e. - circling the golden "5%/full employment" figure. Look when that started deteriorating, why don't ya'?

Yep, there's a "mess" alright...but don't blame it entirely on the "previous administration". They weren't the ONLY ones who had something to do with it. Nor, I suspect, were politicians generally the primary cause. Rather, that lies with an entire class of people who, after repeating "gimme, gimme" so long that they began to believe their own rhetoric, didn't realize that they, by their lack of competitiveness, were UN-working themselves into economic quicksand.

Not excusing Bush; he's not my idea of a great leader either. But in comparison with what we have currently - an individual who seems deliberately engaged in selling-out his nation's future - Bush is beginning to look almost golden.

The unemployment levels were low because everyone was buying things from houses to cars to whatever on credit and every lender was more than willing to lend for those things despite a persons ability to pay back the loan. All of these purchases, particularly housing, created a lot of jobs.

It all started to unravel when countries like Iceland and Ireland started to sell off some of those 'bank bonds' they had been buying and found out they couldn't cash them in as the banks didn't have the equity. They then turned to AIG for the insurance claim and they was so much money involved that it wiped out AIG.............


Now we have no borrowing = no buying = no jobs.

That in it self is not a bad thing (people watching their credit) but it goes to show where the economy really should be.

This answer is somewhat complex but easy to understand--we faced several spirals "Borrowers’ balance sheet effects caused two “liquidity spirals" balance sheets with poor or faked collateral caused the spiral and the tightening of credit caused the second meltdown

Some of the best economic minds in the country concluded "The fed focused on interest rates and ignored collateral under presuure from the government". "declining long‐term, real interest rates in helping drive real estate prices to high levels, at least up to 2005" and a relaxation of lending rules driven by the GSEs [government sponsored enterprises including Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae] to have been a significant factor in expanding the mortgage crisis as a result of their high volume of high-risk mortgage purchases and guarantees"

These policies were hardly the policies of the Bush administration and can be directly attributed to Democratic policies on home ownership.
