The daughter of the former US Vice President, Dick Cheney, is considering running for office after emerging as a leading critic of Barack Obama.


Liz Cheney, a mother of five children, has become one of the sharpest and most outspoken critics of the new White House and has needled the Obama administration for failing to protect the nation against terrorism, and mollycoddling terror suspects while pursuing government lawyers who approved water-boarding, a method of inquisition she approves of. She called the president's Nobel Peace prize a "farce".


Pushed by friends and family, Ms Cheney is now reportedly contemplating a run for office herself either in Virginia, where she was raised, or in Wyoming, her parents' home state.

A country crazy enough to put another Cheney in office deserves far worse,..........they deserve an Ed Heisler as an elected official.

I think Liz has peaked and is on a down slope since many rightwing lawyers just signed a letter calling her and William Krystal's web site un-American and anti-patriotic. She was walking the line and then clearly jumped over it. I was wondering what her claim to fame was since she was on all of the talking heads shows while her only credentials were that she was spawned by the prince of darkness and debt.

Well then, that would at least show she has virtue. You can't shame the left wing liberal dirt bags with charges of being Un-American and anti-patriotic. They take such charges as a compliment.
