I can't help but notice that many of the posts on this topic, are being posted by new members that recently signed up just in the past few days. Also, many of these new accounts just all happen to have "150" in the screen name to indicate they are members of Local 150.

Perhaps I'm jumping to conclusions but, doesn't it seem odd so many members are voicing their opinion, yet some of them just signed up in the past few days, and they share a common screen name?? I am speculating just a bit, but it would almost appear that it's ONE person creating several screen names to give the appearance of MANY.

Just curious, but how many folks here found no fault with Former President Clinton and his sexual harrassment issues, and specifically the cigar and blue dress incident? Was this a forgiveable offense that was not a big deal for our former leader? Does anyone feel that our country's best interests were jeopardized by such lewd behaviour, or was this just another 'no big deal'?

Keep that in mind when accusing Jim Tobin of bad leadership based on a (so far) baseless accusation.

Regardless of the sexual harassment accusation, Tobin does have some bad leadership. Specifically, doing nothing for maintaining the number of Article 22.3 jobs during the present and past contracts.

And Clinton was not accused of sexual harassment. It was only sexual "relations", right?
All I want is for the Union to uphold the contract language and be fair. If not, then there's a problem!

Did my agent Conley get laid off or did he get fired? And how does Jim Tobin have that power to do this?

The story around the hub is that he left willingly and took a buy-out. Now he is back feeder-driving. Also heard he plans to run in next year's election and he want's Tobin's job.

But that's not going to happen. It's time for UPS employees to get some honest people in the 150 Union hall who keep members informed and don't play favorites.

I just read the lawsuit.

I would say if the other female co-workers who allegedly did sexual favors for Tobin were made to testify in court, it would still be very damaging to Tobin.

And it's a joke how part of his defense basically states that the plaintiff failed to use the grievance procedure and therefore the court is deprived of jurisdiction in this "matter".

It's also interesting that Tobin and the plaintiff are each using an attorney from the same law firm.

I wonder how many of Tobin's "buddies" at the Local 150 know about his bad behavior. I heard John Haas had dirt on Tobin, and this fits right in.

I think more Teamsters at UPS need to be aware of this Civil suit and should talk about it, and follow it as it progresses. After all, we are all paying Union dues and we should be informed on what our Local is up to, and why things are taking so long to get resolved around here.

I'm curious, how would you know any part of Tobin's defense? That info is not public knowledge as far as I know. Are you linked to this law suit somehow? What axe do you have to grind?

Just download the case files from the saccourt website and you can read Tobin's and Local 150's list of 10 Affirmative Defenses they filed. You'll need to input the case number.

Thanks for the link. However, it does not appear that attorneys from the same firm represent both parties. Also interesting to note that Local 856 has been dropped from the suit.

Yeah I knew Jim when he worked at UPS and if this is true, it won't surprise me.

Jim and Marty are the stooges down at 150. They both are corrupt to the core, Hey Marty, ever heard of karma? Both of these two clowns are worthless to their members. They do nothing to earn their over inflated salaries. :?
