I just heard from another Feeders driver that we will be voting to merge with Teamsters Local 120. HELL NO! We have got to vote this down! Our dues will be going up to pay those high salaries of the Local 120 agents. From my understanding they make over $150,000 a year. For our dues to be going up to give our current guys a huge raise is unnecessary and should be fought at all levels. I think we should verify what these guys make by checking something called an LM2, does anyone know how to do that?
I also don't think that a Local in Minnesota is even going to care about what happens in our local union, they just want our dues money.....

OK, I was wrong....I just did a search and found the site that list all of the LM2s. It says that Bradley D Slawson SR made over $250,000 last year. Bradly A Slawson JR. made $142,191. These are the top two guys in local 120 and now they want to make us pay an extra $10 a month to be part of them? HELL NO.....WE HAVE TO VOTE IT DOWN! How much of a raise will the guys we have now get by us merging with that other local? No wonder why they want us to merge sop bad......

Maybe with all that money we should call them Bradly Slob and son......I'm assuming that it is his son in office too? Wow, nepotism at it's finest!
KEEP SLOB AND SON OUT OF 749!

I've been a member for over 21 years and am planning to fight this at UPS Sioux Falls. I also will be putting information together and passing them out at all of the hubs I go to.
If there is anyone that should be sceptical about local 120 it should be the members at yellow. yellow members have had to take some big cuts in wages with the leadership of Bradley Slob and Son. Why would we trust them in our local......

So this is the way it would work. I as a member would have to work an extra 30 minutes a month to pay the extra fee just to say we are local 120? I don't know how big our local is, but my guess is that would be a lot of money. If we have 1000 members, that would be an extra $10,000 a month for the Bradly Slob and Son...NO WAY we got to vote this down!
If our current guys can't handle the job, why did they ask to be voted in? Maybe they should of all resigned and run another election instead of us being forced to merge?

Last I heard your LU had roughly 1,200 Teamster members.

very true statement. 120 told other locals that mergnig would not increase any costs and then immedieatly after the vote 120 raised the per capita charged to the local to cover the $10 specail assesment. A better option would be for the locals in North Dakota, north Iowa and south Dakota to forme their own joint council and stay awya from 120. Local 120 has sucked up the two remaining locals in North Dakota and 421 in Iowa. Mayeb a petetion to the intrnational to allow North Dakota, south Dakota and northern Iowa to form their won joint council would be in order. There are enough membres to suport it and all three states have the common issue of right to work that Local 120 does not have. Might want to talk to UPS in Grand Forks and ask them how many times they have seen their 120 agent over the last few years.
