"""""Let me assure you, I didn't vote fore Rick Hicks or that lazy worthless business agent Tom George who couldn't get off his ass to pull a fire alarm. And yet Mr. Hicks continues to send out mailing boasting his continued connection with members on the job sites. LIAR! You and your business agents have done nothing but take our money. Meanwhile you slide your little buddies into the workplace at Merlino. Fuck you Rick."""""

I can agree that the way the Heavy Construction racket is being run is not the way to run a railroad. Lots of Teamster equipment sitting idle in the yard, while the "Rentals" are being called in to work on the Signatories' jobs in droves. Meanwhile hundreds of A-listers sat at home last year without a single dispatch. I've heard a lot about some monkey business going on with the hiring hall and received a notice in the mail from HICKS regarding an NLRB settlement dealing with hiring hall rules. I know one the members that brought this up with the NLRB; not exactly a fan of Hicks, or Tom George/Larry Boyd.

At my shop and most others, it's not just rentals that Teamsters have to watch, it's also our,... EEHEMM..., "union brothers"(IUOE,Laborers), that constantly slip into Teamster equipment DAILY!!!! It was brought up at my shop, which is represented by "the Everett Local"; the agent did come out, but had to allow it because of "contract language". We've also got a few shops 'round here that have UNION Operators, UNION Laborers, but NON-UNION Drivers; how did that happen?????
The way it's looking, I'm not going to hold my breath that any of this will get dealt with any time soon!!!!!

I've got a crazy idea. How about you and all your "brothers" and "sisters" who believe you aren't working because of the job Rick is or isn't doing in/for your industry spend less time on the "internets machine" and more time at the Union Hall at the monthly meetings. Every membership meeting has "new business" and "open mic".

Why don't you grow a set of ballicks and come out from behind your mask as a on looker on of 174 and let everyone know that you are RICK HICKS the x 174 driver. you're so obvious that its not funny. For a secretary-treasurer to do the actions that you have is a embarrasment to the Union. SHAME ON YOU do you have a spine. the truth will set you free!!!!!!!!!!!! I know the truth

Guest:

I've been posting on this site for several years (2005). I've explained where I live, who I worked for when I was a member with 174, the fact that I retired under 80 and out. I've explined that I moved to Sounthern California to be close to my family and went back to work part time as a Local 63 member to pay my RWTPlus premiums.

Rick has posted on this site before and when he does he uses his own name. Another example you may not be aware of I've posted on this site several times in the past while Rick has been running membership meetings.

I will thank you as I've thanked others in the past for thinking I'm Rick.

Rick

Why is it that you do not show up on as a retiree from CA. but as A UPS driver on withdrawal out of Seattle on the Titan record info???????? If I was a Local 174 member I would be offended that My S-T has to hide behind false alias??? Grow a set and man up to who you really are!!

I'm not sure if you are slow or stupid or both, but I'm not Rick. I've been posting on this site since 2005. In 2005 and 2006 Rick was still a package car driver for UPS. If you do a little research on my old posts (which I think you can) you will see that many of them have been in the middle of the day while Rick was delivering packages for USP. Do some homework you are making a fool out of yourself.

FYI, my last 174 driving job was with Airborne Express which is why my "handle" is x174driver.

Thanks again for thinking I'm Rick. Now go join the sour grapes club with the 20% that didn't vote for him.
