PLANTATION, Fla., May 28 (UPI) -- Delivery giant DHL Express said Wednesday it would cut 1,500 to 1,800 jobs and shrink its package sorting operation by more than one third.
The company, with a current staff of nearly 18,000, also said it was discussing an agreement with rival UPS to handle air transportation for its express and international business, the Miami Herald reported.
The agreement could provoke a U.S. Justice Department review on anti-trust concerns, the Herald reported.
The company was not specific on what jobs were in jeopardy.
