On a contract that would give a company UNLIMITED part time workers when laid off and 10%ers would only be offered 3 hours a day. What union would endorse, and what good union man would vote for that?

49% voted yes because they were lead to believe this was good without verifying any info at their disposal.
6% voted no because they will never vote yes.
2% voted no because TDU said not to.
18% voted yes because they think they can drop their CDL and never get drug tested again.
20% of the most junior drivers voted yes to save their jobs without realizing they voted themselves onto the unemployment line.
4% voted no after reading the contract themselves and did not like what was in it for themselves or their brothers and sisters.
1% voted no after listening to the 4% that voted no.
It's a sad day for the brotherhod.

Based on that is the vote count on the National Deal. It will be reported tomorrow. I don't know the individual Local by Local numbers or what the various Local Riders were.
The National Deal and Operational Supplementals ratified by 82% yes, that for sure I know.

I can confirm the 82% voted yes, that means everyone read past the lies of TDU again! Unlimited part timers is not true...Max is 15%! It was good the IBT sent out copies of the contracts so poeple could read for themselves.
