I've got almost 10 years to go before I retire. This agreement will cost me $250,000 before I retire!

I agree with you DHL ! Did you see the new flyer from Slaughter that is trying to explain himself. It's even more pathetic than this contract. (If that is possible) The whole shitload of them lost me when I saw the comment on the earlier flyer .. says we have been operating less and less like a freight company (as Airborne was) and more and more like a package delivery company (like UPS ). Well, if this contract reflects the way package delivery operates... then give me FREIGHT any day!
And I can't tell that a damn thing has changed from when we were Airborne, except DHL has dug up a larger group of management with their head up their asses to continue running this company into the ground !!

Oh, dare I say it I call it like I see it. We are not a freight company perse 95% of the packages in my building can be handled by 1 person. I know this because I unload all morning. Ups, FedEx, and all YRC companies have FREIGHT perse. Last I checked we don't have trailers to leave at loading docks overnight or for several days at a time. We do have a freight division in DHL Global Forwarding (Danzas). Most of that work gets subbed out to local trucking companies. We have 3 twenty-six footers that sit all day long when not going to or coming from the plane. Those trucks could be used to make money picking up FREIGHT. They want to model theirselves after UPS but pay us like FedEx. You all heard the punch line to that one joke (FED-UP). Thats where I am with this sub standard contract. Sure we get more than NMFA but a lot less than what UPS makes. They want part timers give us DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Global Mail, DHL@ home, or Sky Courier. I would feel much more secure if we had some of these money makers. After all we are at or close to the stops for these subsidaries anyway. DHL pays 2-4 different drivers to get all of this work, when they could pay just one TEAMSTER!!!!

I see no protection for these DOCKMEN in this contract as there was in the NMFA !
