Here's What The IBT Has To Say About The APWA

"We are confident that UPS Freight employees will not be misled by a
group supported by the Right To Work Committee and represented by a
union-busting lawyer. This group has no experienced leadership, no staff
support, no pension plan, no health plan, no collective-bargaining
experience, but makes unlimited, empty promises," said Ken Hall, Director
of the Teamsters Parcel and Small Package Trade Division.
Why is the IBT wasting time on useless rhetoric? Actions will speak louder than words. So far, all we members have gotten from our administration over the last nine years has been a lot of words. It's time they delivered on their promises. If they did that, they wouldn't have to waste their time bad mouthing competition. And if the IBT is addressing them like this, they are competition.

Let's recap:
A.P.W.A. has, never negotiated a contract...has no dues paying members....is funded by a RTW committee..and a Union-busting attorney. Looks like Ken was dead-on on.
I'll give you an A minus, for finding the article.
I give you an F, for your interpretation & spin, moron.

You have a discharged member whose board of adjustment is deadlocked, what do you do because APWA can't pay for the arbitration?
Have a bake sale?

dude, once again, wasted rhetoric. Why are you attacking me? I have not said anything but the obvious. While the IBT stands around making speeches, this APWA is making inroads. And dude, while I shouldn't expect a track record for the APWA, I should expect one from the IBT. And that was the point I was making. Can you point out the great successes our union has accomplished after spending over $1,000,000,000 of our money over the last nine years. Instead of name calling, they should be able to run off a long list of all the positive achievements that have occurred over the last nine years. Having none, they resorted to mud slinging. After nine years, this administration can't stand on it's record. And I'll point out, much of what ken hall has to say about APWA, could also be said of the punk commie scab,"hoffa the corrupt". And ken did say nearly the same things about him when ken was thinking about running against him. But that all changed after ken got something green in his eyes. I for one would like the IBT to do more than just run an opponent down with rhetoric. I would like to see them legitimately beat someone, for once. And like I stated, all of you who mock this group, well, they've got the IBT's attention. Let's see if they can do more than just send their smear masters after this group. If this administration got the greatest contracts ever, successfully ran strikes and organizing drives, and took care of it's membership as well as they take care of themselves, smear tactics wouldn't be necessary. We would have bargaining units coming to us asking to become members. I saw that first hand at my local before it was ruined by this administration.

I'm not advocating in behalf Hoffa nor Hall..but, the questions posed by Hall are legitimate ones..wheather they are asked of the APWA or of UPS, buying out of Central States.
Of course, members want some kind guarntee that once you gain something you will NEVER lose it, ecpecially in the areas of retirement & health care..but, faced with the same set of circumstances that led to the Pension & Health care changes of 2003...NO ONE can guarentee this...they can only feed off the discontentment of members.
All I have seen or read lately from APWA & UPS is nothing more than what disgruntled members WANT to hear...and telling someone what they WANT to "hear" makes for nothing more than a good "con" game...

The accomplishments of the IBT versus the A.P.W.A.:
Since I have already listed the accomplishment of the A.P.W.A, no need to waste space & repeat myslef.
Accomplishments of the I.B.T.
Began the pauinful task of organizing/negotiating a contract at UPS Freight. Something Cash-n-Carey couldn't accomplish.
Restored the Hammer to the N.M.F.A.
Left the out-dated A.F.L.C.I.O.
Rid many of Locals of their corrupt leaders, who's time had passed, many years ago.
10,000 FT jobs at UPS.
Guided our Union thru one of the worst times financially, since the 80's.
Answer your question.

TxTeam, I agree with your answers 100%. I also feel that the IBT is putting out valuable information out there so members who might not be so highly informed won't be duped into signing up with a sham union. That's not lending APWA credibility; that's simply protecting the members' interests against a scam.

Stark, they should stop making speeches and go organize these people at UPS Freight. This is the administration who tried to get everyone at the convention to believe this was a done deal, and not just one barn, but all barns across the country falling like dominoes. Here it is a year later and still not one member from this first barn under contract. If they were getting done what needed to be done, they wouldn't be bothered by this upstart group.

Geography lesson time. Texas, doesn't have a WestCoast. It's no wonder, that after 8 years, with the level of intelligence, you posess, that you weren't the first member disbarred for stupidity.
Now stop trolling Ajax, and stick to the topic of this thread. The true statements made by Ken Hall about A.P.W.A. & UPS Freight.

Apparently, Hall's words were taken out of context, and spun by you Ajax, If you read the release, it appears, that Hall's statements are an answer to a question, posed by soemone. You can try to put any spin you like on it. No one here is buying what you're selling.
As for the references to the west, I don't get it. I have never traveled past Las Vegas. Really guy, what's your problem.

Yes I did. But the man took a shit freak threatening me with cops, lawsuits and surveilance cameras. What was meant by me to be a social engagement scared the shit out of 007. I was there four days earlier that I had told him I would be there, as I like the element of suprise. Barely stopped, just long enough to take some pictures and get a GPS setting. If need be I could find his house in my sleep now. your sources are wrong, as always it would seem. Boy you are really grasping at air now aren't you. Get permission from 007, and I'll put a picture of both him and his house on here.

AND THEN HE SNIVELED LIKE AN OVULATING FAT BROAD THAT JUST ATE HER LAST PIECE OF CHOCOLATE WHEN HE THOUGHT HE SAW PICTURES OF HIS STREET ON TNET.
Why isnt one of his oh-so-powerful atty's all over this? Even a first year paralegal would tell him he got PUNK'D.
tex, do you really think I care what Washington has to say. Be for real punk. I'd welcome the decrease in dues. And I'm just doing something that you or Washington doesn't. I'm looking out for my brothers' and sisters' benefit.

Then I asked, what your thoughts, would be, if the IBT would have an opinion of the AFP. Now answer the question, chop, chop. Do you tell your co-workers at UPS Freight, that you pimp for the AFP?

I wonder what kind of press release the IBT would issue, if it were ever challenged by the A.F.P. Here's card-carrying member of the IBT, promoting the A.F.P. This Teamster gave the A.F.P a rave review. I wonder what Washington would say?
