So many accusations so little in alternatives to the APWA.

Hoffa's is- "don't worry be happy."

Be happy your only getting 40 cents out of ever dollar paid in for you.

Be happy we have the most expensive and inefficient union infested with cronies and nepotisim.

Be happy we are shrinking in membership, dues are increasing, and wages and perks for union bosses are at an all time high.

Be happy with mid-contact sell outs and grievance panels that dilute and nullify your contract.

Be happy the bulk of unfunded liability will be dropped in the lap of UPS workers in the form of benefit cuts, lost jobs, and contract concession.

Its not a question of if decertification will happen its when.

The only people that have come out and spoke against a UPS only union are those parasite that live off of the hard working UPS workers. Where are there arguments for staying? They Have NONE! How is it in the best interest of UPS workers staying with the Teamsters? Brother & Sisterhood? That’s seems a cute thing to say when your on the receiving end. I wonder how much our “brothers & sisters" are willing to sacrifice in order to keep the UPS workers in the Teamsters. I bet not half of the amount they rip off UPS workers for. Brother and sisterhood my ass!

It time for action and I can’t wait for a decertification vote and a UPS only union. Speak to anyone but the Teamsters paid workers at UPS and they will agree.

I rest my case,

The so-called "members" of the APWA have in FACT;

1). Never held office in their Local.

2). Any of which, have been a part of a negotiating process.

3). Claim No experience.

4). Fully admit they live in "Right to work" states and don't pay dues.... but expect to benefit from those that do.

5). Fully admit they could care less about ANY other Teamster.....

6). Fully admit they have retained an "Anti-Union, Anti-Labor, attorney" to represent Them....

Fine example of true leadership....

The APWA can be summed up in these terms;

"Big handfull of give me"......

"And a mouthfull of much obliged".....

Bug,

In a strange way, you're right.

We as UPSers have been putting the lions share into these funds for years and not drawing on it, and not saying anything when the rest of the so called brotherhood was drawing on it. Although, we were not promised anywhere close to what we were rightfully intitled to, we were promised enough to make it work in retirement. So we said that's fine, we'll look after the rest. But, when they start biting the hand that feeds them, it's time to change. The Teamsters are now trying to put hardship on the very ones that carry the whole system, and that is just not going to happen.

I'm very sorry for those of you who have been carried for this long, but the point is we're not the bad guys for demanding way is rightfully ours. You people need to be mad at your companies, they are the ones that should have been looking after you all along, not us. So, go to your companies and ask for your pension, because the time has come to look after your own.

That is what we are doing, looking after our own. The rest of you need to do the same, and quit looking to us to provide for you, because, those days are over!

Hey sawman, the first thing you need to learn is to pay for your own way in this world. You are an advocate for scabbing and not paying dues while you have your hand out for donations.
You and your fellow apwanese came on this board with your ridiculous and futile effort, consume a lot of bandwith and clutter up our board and meaningful posts with all of your way out scam crap and efforts to foment dissent and you do not even have the capacity to pay for your own way on Teamsternet while you spout off about representing the entire UPS bargaining unit.
You constantly spam this board because its free to you, but some of us are paying and carrying your ridiculous organizations' efforts on our shoulders and I for one think that you apwanese are nothing more than than a bunch of employer serving scabs. You all are here serving no one's interests other than your own commercial enterprise, on a free ride.
And by the way, quit trying to represent yourself as 101st Airborne unless you can establish yourself as being a part of it.

Alex,

Are you a UPS employee?

Also, Airborne and myself are NOT one person! Two people, two different parts of the country, and how do you know that he isn't a member of the 101st?

I do not understand all the talk of SCAM. Why does this have to be a SCAM. Can a group of unhappy members not get sick and tired of the same old representation and do some thing about it, with out everyone claiming that they are running a SCAM. Also, as far as dues cost. I am sick and tired of hearing this crap. Full-timers pay roughly less than 1.5% of their earinings per month and this is with out overtime.

If any one wants to bitch about dues, let it be the part-timers. They pay the same 2.5 hours per month, but are only have a 17.5 hour weekly guarantee, half the medical benefits, half the pension.

Please, full-timers, quit the bitching about unioin dues.

101st Airborne, you APWA supporters really got a lesson yesterday in Atlanta, didn't you? Tell everybody about the three who showed up at your meeting to listen. Oh, I know you had eight but two were scabs and three were sent by the union.

Attaboy AWPA.

Tell us some more 007 about what you know nothing about.
Oh, and please don't address the compliants and issues that have spawned the opposition to the Teamsters that would require far more intellegence than you display.

Just parrot the rest of the rip-off artist that steal everyday from the UPS memebers and go on thinking that will go on forever.

Lets see, registering as a Religious non-profit organization is just a category that they put, Not for profit organizations into, it has nothing to do with religion.
As far as rigestering for one year, this is because they plan on filing with the NLRB as a Union within a year.

How's that working out for you?

Why won't APWA's 2 scab officers answer these questions, even when so called members ask?

1. How many members do they have? Won't tell, but the Teamsters do
2. How much money do they have at 150 bucks per member. Won't tell, but the Teamsters do
3. Where has the money been spent? Won't tell, but the Teamsters do
3. They claim to OWN 18 states. How do you OWN a state?
4. How do they get UPS to let them off work so much when others have to beg for a day off?
5. What happened when one of them was a day late coming back from one of their scam trips? If any other member had a second job and missed work, they would be fired immediately.
6. Why does one of these two spend nearly a half hour every day or so in the managers office with closed doors?
7. How can they be so naive as to tell people that they do not need a strike fund because they can TRUST UPS to treat them fairly? Smell a scam anyone?
8. Why is it that they are so close to the National Right to WOrk committee that they use one of their attorneys? Smell a Scam anyone? And one of their "supporters" in Ohio is a Right to work "activist".
9. Where is the constitution they claim to have?
10. How many people attended their National Convention in December? Funny they have not published that? Smell a scam anyone? Tell the truth Garland!! YOu are the Southern Regional Manager!! Along with being a laughing stock and embarrassment of the Houston area!!
11. Who introduced the APWA SCAM TWINS to the ANTI UNION ATTORNEY? Smell a Scam anyone?
12. Why do they say they do not need a Political Action COmmittee or PAC FUNDS? Because they can TRUST UPS?
13. Why when anyone goes to one of their ill attended meetings and asks questions, are they removed by the rent a cops that the TWINS employ? Garland, you were allowed to ask any quesitons you had at the Houston Teamsters meetings, why did you endorse a fellow Houston UPSer being removed from the meeting you held in Houston? Heck, when he was removed, the meeting was reduced by 7 percent in attendance...DO THE MATH
14. Why does one of the TWINS badmouth the Teamsters, saying they have done nothing for him, when in fact he was fired 3 times and 391 got him back to work.....Once for ironically running flat into the rear end of an overnite rig and totalling the UPS rig.....

They are advertising this last two weeks as their national kickoff. Here in Houston they got 28 cards out of 3 large centers. Long way from a kickoff, and Houston was reported by them to be one of their "owned cities" and 'areas' with a Southern REgional Manager for APWA residing in a rural center.

Why would they call their officers REGIONAL MANAGERS? Sure sounds like a UPS driven scheme.

These are just sample of the outlined scam these guys are running. It is fortunate that most UPS members are smart enough to recognize a MONEY SCHEME when they see one.
