Yeah, I'm sure the canadians and the pilots are flocking to join your union busting organization. You are associated with a union busting firm, right? And the promises you're making are unrealistic at best. If your going to try to pull a snow job, at least throw in a little snow.

My main interest is, what THE INCOME FUND OF AMERICA is investing monies to achieve a 12.34 % average return on investment? With some of my current personal investments, a return of 9-10% is difficult to attain. I am invested heavily in closed end funds.

Is the APWA registered as a Union with the US Department of Labor? I could not find their registry. Of course you guys do realize that in the USA you have to be registered to function as a Union and represent workers on worksite issues or negotiate a labor agreement that provides for pensions and or other benefits. If you do not plan to function as a Union what type of organization is the APWA?
Please skip all the double talk and and just respond to the basic question.

Yeah, I asked some questions in the other thread he started about the lawyer involved with this, Francis T. Coleman, and got no response. Maybe he'll answer here with what's up with Coleman and the deunuionization footnote I cited.

So far, lot's of cheerleading but no nuts and bolts answers to how it will work, refusal to answer hard questions about those associated with it, followed by "Sawman" popping in to tell us he can't believe we're not following like lemmings the APWA pied pipers. Someone needs to go back to the drawing board with their marketing strategy.

here is all you need to know about this bogus union busting website designed to get the ignorants participation: we have been asked to join a union which says it will pay you a $7,000 a month pension,or $84,000 a year pension,which is more than most will actually make during any year.no way this pension could or will ever exist.the only purpose of this new bogus union/pension is to bust the union an just like tdu , get another fraction of the teamsters wanting out.as any true blue american blooded yank would do in this situation disregard any info about any new union,the only new union we need to worry about is the IBT,an your vote is what will change this union into the type of union we deserve.that being said were there is money an power,theres corruption,an be it new or old, IBT or this bogus crap union mymap,we will never get what we truly deserve,but ups has worked tirelessly to crack the IBT ranks before the next contract,so stand strong an undivided an we will get what we deserve in the long run.

There is a place on the web site to ask any question that you might have about the APWA and the things that are being promised. Every time that I have emailed them with a question, they have gotten back to me with an answer within two to three days.
Don't knock it until you try it!

IT is not difficult to see through the "Phony Union".

First, look on their web page and see who their attorney is.
It is Francis T Coleman. Then go to www.wmcd.com and look at the web page of Williams Mullen Attorneys at law, a large firm in DC. On the home page select practice areas and read what this firm does, including but not limited to:

Defeats Union Attempts, breaks strikes, files anti union injunctions, etc. Neg. LONG term agreements with CONCESSIONS for Fortune 500 companies., Trains management in Union Avoidance and all other aspects of anti unionism.

Also on the Home page, select Attorneys and look up Francis T Coleman as a member of their firm.

Now, lets ask the question. HOW did a Member of the Teamsters working at UPS in the Carolinas just happen to pick a Washington DC attorney firm that is a notorious Union BUSTER to be Chief Counsel of a NEW UNION? Could UPS have helped him find them? Did the Attorney just happen to find the SCAB minded Carolina Feeder driver wandering around with thousands of dollars to start a new (anti) Union?

Let's go a bit farther. At a meeting of this small group last week, the spokesman from Carolina said and I quote, "We are going to eliminate all closed shop arrangements with UPS. No one should have to pay dues unless they want to." Does this sound like a PRO UNION group to you? Or does it sound like a UNION BUSTER?

Let's continue. At the meeting last week, they admitted that the amounts stated in their Pension propaganda is dollars that are 30 years from NOW. That does not mean a 20 year guy at UPS will get the BIG BUCKS if he gets another 10 years in. IT is smoke and mirrors. Central States has exceeded this expansion of the benefits in the recent years.

And, the New Union (not!!) is asking that you send $150 to a post office box, and does not even identify the two 'OFFICERS' (UPS employees) that are telling you to "stand tall" for yourself. They hide behind a web page and take your money. Sounds like quite a scam.

Two members get money, attorney gets money, and UPS gets Happy and WE GET SCREWED. I say burn 'em at the stake for treason.

Even TDU has spoken out against this member/attorney scam.

We need to all stick together, work together, and get behind some efforts to change our National Benefit rules in Washington DC. We can cry all we want, but fixing our problems will have to come from Wall Street and Capitol Hill.

I read yesterday that DRIVE is working on new legislation that will help us all. We should get behind that when it comes out. We need changes in the laws that allows the security we all seek.

I DO know what I'm talking about and if you associate yourself with this union busting scam then you yourself are a scab. There have been alot of questions poised in this forum, but not one answered. I've been to your website and I dug a little deeper and came to my own conclusions. Your post count and feeders post count are pretty much indentical(sp). I would suspect that your the same person.

The bottom line is, if your think you can get support from Upsers for this union busting scam; then you have a rude awakening coming. No sensable(sp) union member is going to fall for your bullshit.

There's an old saying that goes "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is". And being associated with a union busting firm sends out red flags everywhere. So take your garbage somewhere else.

As I stated before, the teamsters are doing a great job of busting there own union, no help needed, but then again you wouldn't understand that because they are obviously doing your thinking for you or you would realize that they have stolen your pension, ruined your health care, and lied more times than you can count.
Oh, I forgot, a true teamster doesn't question there actions does he?
As for the questions being asked on the forum. Ask them on the APWA web page and you'll get your answer!
As for Feeders and I being the same person. The teamsterman is wrong again! We do know each other and work out of the same center, and we were both teamster members for over 25 years, but like an ever growing number of UPSERS, we got tired of the teamsters lies and theft of our pensions and futures. So now we are going to take matters into our own hand and secure our own pension and futere.
I hope that one day before your pension is completely gone, that you WAKE UP!

Our pension and welfare plans aren't perfect (what is in this world), but the plan you describe on your website isn't even realistic. So who's lieing to whom here. If you want to change things get involved. Your not part of the solution, your part of the problem. Soliciting(sp) upsers to engage in a union busting campaign is totally srewed up. I can't believe for a minute that a couple of 25 year ups/teamsters would even consider hiring a union busting firm to take down the IBT. Go ahead and get your little union going and I'll watch UPS eat you for lunch.

And you and feeders aren't the same person, but you know and work together. Imagine that.

As for the questions. You guys started this thread and one other. So answer the questions in this forum (the one you started). But you won't do that, will you? Didn't think so.

All I can say is that this little scam is way, way out there. If someone needs to wake up, it would be the scammers.

ALEX, I think you are right on target. They are registered online as a dot.com rather than a .org. This tells me they are a FOR PROFIT organization that will no doubt benefit the two guys that are officers and their Anti Union Attorney. I too, am waiting for your questions to be answered.

I looked at the website but I didn't see one name on it. So much for running a new union at UPS. If one person does not even have the brass to put their name to it how do you expect to represent any UPS employees?

The APWA is not a registered union YET! THey have notified the NLRB of there intent to form a UPS only union. They are in the begining stages of forming, but the NLRB have laid out things that must be done in order to become a registered union.
(1) make all UPS employees aware of there intent.
(2) petition the NLRB (30 percent in favor)
(3) At that point the NLRB will then hold a secret vote
then they will be a registered union.
This is my understanding of the process.
The reason that I keep telling you to ask your questions on the APWA web page is that I do not want to give you incorrect info.
While I am a member of the APWA, I am not an officer of the APWA.
If you ask questions on the APWA web page, you will be in direct contact will there Officers and I'm sure they will be more than happy to give you there names, and any other info that you require.

The APWA is registered in the state of Delaware as a Business. They say so right on their web page. Sawman has been misinformed in that the NLRB does not certify you as a Union. You become your own entity. If it is a Union, you file with the Department of Labor. IF you are for Profit, you register in another manner. Once the entity is established and if they have the showing of support, they petition the NLRB for an election.

Bottom line....no one should be interested in a FOR PROFIT Union, ran by two guys in the Carolinas and an ANTI UNION Attorney, who espouse open shop and countless other bogus preachings.

Just how stupid do they think the rest of us at UPS are? Anybody seen bylaws? Anybody seen a constitution? Anybody seen a balance statement? Anybody seen the MONEY Source? If they come to my center, they better be pretty thick skinned and better have a comfortable rail to be ran out of town on.

As a Teamster, I can go to the office and get a set of Bylaws, Constitution and review the books. I get to vote on my officers.

As a member of APWA, if your trying to sell it as open and democratic and for the people, please post on here, the bylaws, the Constitution and a financial report after your review. Tell us where all the money for the attorney is coming from, and how many members they have. Show us some openness and democracy. How is the PROFIT split?
