I see alot of people on here saying that they dont like working for UPS. Do you like working for UPS? What do you do for them, package delivery, tractor trailer driver, etc. What are your likes and dislikes about working for UPS?

Im asking this because im thinking of working for UPS as a local tracter driver.

Working in feeders would probably be ok. I have a bunch of friends in feeders who make $70,000 - $100,000+. Not bad for shifting gears all day (or night) icon_wink.gif.
As for me I work inside the building as a mechanic and I hate it.eck16.gif We have a boss who likes to manage through harrassment and intimidation. He is of the opinion that if we are paranoid and afraid of losing our job every second of every day, that we will work harder. I feel like I am in prison working for UPS. I also am tired of fixing stuff "good enough for now" because mgmt doesn't want to spend any money. I have to work as directed though, so what can I do? I plan on bidding into a driving position as soon as volume picks up and there are some openings.

Feeders = Tractor trailers. IMHO the best job at UPS icon_smile.gif
Feeders is where package car drivers go after their knees blow out from getting in and out of a package car 300+ times a day.

You got a better chance at winning the lottery.

Inside P/T.
Some bldg's have hired off the street like JACFL
I believe they have 360 feeder positions

I love my job in feeder, I just dislike some of those who run the company.
