Has anyone heard of 22.3 combo workers getting a cut in pay while in progression? Like if their part time wage was higher than progression, they somehow got slotted into progression?
I've heard of air combos having the split rate, full time air rate (which is the same as regular combo rate) with their part time rate for the other end of their job. Any instances of combos going from one job to another and losing their higher part time rate in favor of straight progression rates? |

I've heard of UPS trying to get away with it but to my understanding you retaion the higher rate till progression catches up with you.

My understanding is that, no matter what, your hourly rate will not lower. You can not be paid less tomorrow than you were yesterday. So in essence I agree that you may be switched to "progression" only if it has caught up to your actual rate of pay. Management could try to get away with it but it ain't according to the contract. Get your union rep involved.

A couple people in my hub have this happening to them. They were air-inside combos, and are now inside-inside combos, full time. Our Local is involved with getting it ironed out.

I believe the exception is under Article 40. There doesn't appear to be anything that gives the part-time going full-time air wage protection. Language says you go into the progression. No language in there like article 41 has.
