Where's our outrage? Local 714 has been taking our jobs and selling them to their friends and families for years and no one is speaking out? Hoffa gave them a 'slap on the wrist' and thankfully the IRB said, "NO, not good enough, trustee them". Hoffa hasn't blinked about putting other Locals in trusteeship and many of those Local's offenses haven't come close to the nefarious goings on in 714!

One little article in the Chicago Tribune and that's all the information we get? How many of our Brothers and Sisters are out of work because the work went to the Hogans "non-union" companies? Thank God for the IRB and I hope they stay with us for years to come, because our International officers obviously can't police the corruption in our union.

clotorun, in case you have not figured it out yet, this is not an IBT website or forum. Sounds to me like your first and only post is a pimp job for the IRB. No person can call themselves a pro Union member and advocate for the level of unnecessary layered oversight that currently exists in the Teamsters Union. Besides our legal system and judiciary, we already have the Department of Labor to police us, paid for with our tax dollars, so why should they rip off our dues money to pay for the IRB?

As to the Hogan side of your post, all you offered up was your unsupported opinions. Whether you are right or wrong, you have no established credibility on TeamsterNet to expect us to accept your opinion as factual. Put up some names places and referenced documentation if you have it.

Alex y. I'm surprised. You know, or you should know, that personal attacks belong on the Smack Talk board, not here.

You know nothing about the poster and yet you engage in a low level personal attack simply because he doesn't like corrupt elements like the Hogans within our organization.

Shame on you!

And the Hogans!

Hmnnn, how did you come off 'ignore'. I'll have to put you back in. School is still out on clotorun, but you have been identified as being an FBI and a government snitch and an IRB pimp a loooooong time ago. As to smack talk, that's your residence, not mine. icon_biggrin.gif

I rarely post on the Smack Talk board.

But once again, this post by you clearly belongs on that board, not here.

Do you think that you're not required to abide by board rules .... that you have obtained from the Administrators and/or Moderators a special exemption?

Well, don't lecture anyone on this board about board rules if you're going to completely ignore them and disrespect other posters you don't agree with.

As you know, or should know, I'm not a IRB, FBI, CIA or any other kind of government informant or agent.

But I can tell you who in the Teamsters Union is and has run to government agents in the FBI.

We can take this up on the Smack Talk board it you'd like.

Now please follow the board rules and stop attacking any new poster you might not agree with. Such antics can only hurt TeamsterNet.

looks like 714 is on the ropesnow with the trusteeship being imposed and the international intheir wisdom have taken the movies and convention trade show work form 714 and given it to John Coli. How about Rainville being put in as the overseer. Doesn't he work directly for Coli? Just another in the long line of Teamsters drop a dime to screw over your adversaries.

You are posting on this thread regarding the trusteeship of 714, so you are obviously aware of its existence. You also claim to be fully aware of TeamsterNet's rules and terms of use, yet you knowingly and willfully violate those rules by starting a new thread on the very same subject. Back to your old games and constant board violations while trying to hide behind an accusatory finger point? Does this most current of your rule violations rise to the level of getting you banished or simply a basis for your suspension? icon_eek.gif

I didn't know that posting Hoffa's statement regarding the trusteeship is a violation of your rules or board rules. Now unlike you, I don't claim to be an expert on all of the rules and the day to day interpretation and reinterpretation of those rules. However, I know trash talk and personal attacks when I read them. And so do you. And I know where such personal attacks belong. And so do you.

And yet you and a few others constantly violate that clear rules which everyone knows about. Why is that? Are you special?

If you've been following discussions on TeamsterNet, you would know that we've had many discussions on the same or similiar topic numerous times over the past several years. And I don't recall any of those posters being threatened. Would you like me to post a few hundred examples? And if I do will you even bother to read them?

Why don't you put me and everyone else you disagree with on ignore if you can't handle honest and vigorous debate and discussion?

Will you now be handing out "discipline" to those you disagree with while you engage in repeated violation of board rules?

Now you may not like Hoffa's statement and you may not like other posters comments critical of the Hogan crooks but I don't think threatening other posters (including me) who you don't agree is the kind of behavior one would expect from someone who supposedly welcomes free speech and debate on TeamsterNet.

You're operating more like some schoolyard bully than a unionman! Can't anyone disagree with you where you work?

Now if you can't engage in intelligent, thoughtful and vigorous debates on issues such as the Local 714 trusteeship, why do you bother posting in this string at all?

Now I suggest you move your personal attacks over to the TeamsterNet Smack Talk discussion board where it properly belongs.

We'd like to discuss what's happening in Local 714 if you don't mind.

And if you have some pull here I suppose you could have James P. Hoffa's statement removed if it runs contrary to your views and personal TeamsterNet rules.

Now I see why I was discouraged from even signing up for TeamsterNet. If union members can't have open, honest discussion with one another without rancor or threats how can we ever hope to have open, honest Officials? We all buy our milk and bread from the same place and it's costing us more than ever before. If our jobs are being farmed out to non-union workers - it impacts all of us directly. This isn't about whose ratting on what - this is about standing together to protect our incomes and our retirement.

It seems to me that you're saying its OK to have work going to non-union companies as long as it's union officials that's sending it there! That defys logic. If you READ the new front page on the 714 website you will see where I obtained my information - FROM MR. HOFFA HIMSELF.
