I hear business agent Roy Graham has teamed up with former ba Al Burrel to defeat Brian MacDonald in the next election in local 91 in Canada. After this they will join local 938. There is talk that Canadian labor politics is hot in these two locals and these two locals used some old TDU contacts in both locals to defeat a record contract obtained by Teamsters Canada with the number one courier company in Canada. It looks like this is not about the members but about a couple of people playing politics.

Has anyone else heard this? Canadians feel free to repond.

don, the contract is not enough. Canada post made 101 million profit on purolator last year. time to share!!!
TDU has nothing to do with it....we the employees are fed up.....time to pay the piper.

as for the merger, rumors, like crappy contracts, are everywhere.

don't believe everything you hear.

It is well known that those two locals were into TDU, but I did hear that the local 938 president and secretary treasurer have approved the latest deal.

Is this contract with canada post courier or purolator. Which company are we talking about?

anyone that wants to know whats really going on can sign on to facebook, search out the group purolator, i think there are about 650 members, and its growing like wildfire.
since vegas jim has deleted the purolator group from t-net, the employees have started their own group.

still a big fan of t-net and the news and updates found herein, but i am a canadian and would like to see the canadian content on t-net restored for all teamsters.

borders should be invisable, especially for our teamster brothers and sisters on t-net, after all we are family!

that would be an entirely different thread, and totally off topic.

No same topic. But I will assume that answer is yes. If I am wrong please correct me.

Does not matter what they do or do not support. Only how the members vote Val. (or designate). Oddly I know only one senior Teamster that dabbles on the internet and consistently spells Burrell with one "L". In near 20 years, he could not be bothered to correct that spelling habit. Its not that difficult, the name appears in the back of every collective agreement.

At least "MacDonald" is spelled correctly. No big secret there concerning Burrell. He has told his former UPS steward what will happen in the next Local election.

<<but I did hear that the local 938 president and secretary treasurer have approved the latest deal.>>

Like they approved the deal to give themselves a RAISE...when ever they want?

The two people mentioned are fuckheads. But Vegas Jim would rather delete the topic, rather than actually DO SOMETHING about it. Another fucktard.

Way off topic Time Delay and not sure to whom you refer. I can only assume you mean the President and Secretary Treasurer of Local 938?

Val was probably only going to TELL Bob to have his members vote YES to this piece of crap "final" "final" offer.

Maybe Val should concentrate on calling Bouvier and telling him to be true to "his word" about having us hit the street!!!!

These days its getting harder and harder to trust anyone, even the people on your own side!!!

When the next one gets turned down then we go for the final final final offer and after that..........enough is enough.

The teamsters credibility is going down in a toilet spiral, and so is our bargaining power, if we keep telling em we are going to KICK EM IN THE BALLS and never do, sooner or later they are going to laugh in our faces.......oh yeah that was the last final final offer.
